You Make the World Magical Card

Hi there!
Samantha here, and today I am sharing a magical and whimsical little treat!

I just really, really wanted to use those unicorns!! Ha! And when I remembered the sentiment included a unicorn, I knew it was match made in heaven!

Let's make this card together!

- stamp color the images (I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers)
- once dry, fussy cut and set aside
- time to ink blend! (I used Distress Oxide Inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers)
- heat emboss the clouds in white

- using a water brush, add water to the inside of the clouds, let sit for a few seconds and then blot off with a paper towel (I repeated this a few times)
(splatter some water and white acrylic paint
- attach the unicorns and sentiment with foam tape
- add glitter to the unicorn horns!

I usually ink blend with the plain Distress Inks, but I'm not kidding when I saw that the Distress Oxide Inks blend SO easily and SO smoothly! Definitely give it a try if you haven't!

I just love those cute little clouds from the Cloudy Day cling stamp set! The sentiment is from Friends Like You, which just perfect with the unicorns from the Superpowers stamp set!

There is ALWAYS a fun challenge going on in the Create a Smile Stamp Facebook group page! It's fun and filled with prizes! I love seeing all of the incredible, unique and amazing inspiration!

Have a Ball!

Hello everyone, it's Kerstin again!

Today I have a cute Birthday Card for you.

This year I'm trying to use more of my "older" stamps. That's why I chose this cute armadillo for todays card.

  • stamp, color and fuzzy cut the stamped image
  • I used my Zig Clean Color Brush Pens, because I haven't used them for quite a long time
  • Create a Background by using a large background stamp like Ballons in the Sky
  • add a layer of vellum over the Background - that creates a softer look and makes the stamped image pop even more
  • decorate your card with some enamel stickers or Nuvo Drops (like I did )

Using clear embossing powder over the versafine ink helps to keep the color in place while watercoloring.

Surprise! Just For You

Hi, everyone! It's Cassie here, and I'm back to share another Create A Smile card! March is a big birthday month in my family, so I've been trying to stock up on birthday cards. The sooner I start the better, and the simpler the card the faster I can make them!

I started the card by ink blending an A2 size card panel with a couple green Distress Oxide Inks. I used Twisted Citron and a color I mixed myself using the reinkers and a custom ink pad. I also splattered some ink over the entire card panel!

Then I stamped out these adorable images from the Cart Full of Treasures stamp set. I added the packages and balloon images to the wagon for this birthday card, but there are a lot of different types of cards you could make depending on what you put in the wagon!

Once that was colored I fussy cut it out and attached it to the card panel with foam tape. I finished the card by stamping a sentiment from the Poppin' Over stamp set. I thought this sentiment was perfect because of the little koala peeking out of the present!

Don't forget to let your Distress Oxide Ink blending dry completely before stamping your sentiment! It could make the sentiment not look as crisp if the paper is still wet.

We love seeing all of your Create a Smile projects! So if you're sharing them on social media, be sure to tag us!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed the card. Have a great day, and I'll see you again soon with another one!

Magical Sky

Hi everyone and welcome back to our creative space!
Raluca here with a brand new card showcasing one of the super adorable stamp sets from Create a Smile Stamps shop.

The moment that I saw this cute stamp set I just fell in love with it and couldn't wait to play with the adorable birds.

* First I die cut a panel from one of my watercolor backgrounds using the largest scalloped rectangle dies and then I die cut a panel from white cardstock using the same die.

* The white panel I die cut it again twice using a cloud die and mounted them on the upper part and on the bottom on the watercolor panel.

* I prepared a light grey card base and I adhered the panel on it.

* On a white panel I stamped the images for my card and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.

* After the coloring was done, I fussy cut the images and mounted it on my card, creating an adorable magical sky scene.

* To add more interest to my card I white embossed the sentiment on a purple banner and mounted it on my project.

* I glued a few clear iridescent jewels and my card was done.
