You Shine Beautifully

Hi there!
Samantha here, and today I am sharing a card that is happy and bright and ready for those warm summer nights!

I just imagine sitting outside with friends, on a warm summer night, and seeing these lights!

Let's make this card together!

- I started by stamping the 'strings' for the lights, so I would know where to place the lights.
- then I used a pencil to VERY lightly mark where each light bulb would be
- I then used those tiny marks to guide where to add the 'glow' of the yellow ink in a circle
- then I used Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch to add the 'night sky' behind and around the glowing orbs

- then I splattered some water, and also white acrylic paint to create the starry night feel
- I stamped and colored the light bulbs with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut out the images
- a few of the light bulbs were popped up with foam tape
- glitter was added to the light bulbs with some clear stickles

I used Distress Oxide Inks to ink blend my background, but I really think that the original Distress Inks may have been a better choice! The Oxide Inks are soooo easy to blend with, but I think because they are so easy to blend, it's harder to control...that's my opinion, anyway! Ha!

This stamp set is so pretty, and so versatile! I used the beautiful Lights On! stamp set!

There is ALWAYS a fun challenge going on in the Create a Smile Stamp Facebook group page! It's fun and filled with prizes! I love seeing all of the incredible, unique and amazing inspiration!

Hello -- Card with Coffee Collection Kit

Hello, everyone! It's Cassie here, and I'm back to share a card I made with the adorable new coffee kit! I love all the pieces included in this kit and had so much fun making this card. Let's jump right in.

I started by ink blending over an A2 size card base with the small polka dot stencil. I used Worn Lipstick and Fossilized Amber for this. I also splattered the colors over the paper as well. Then I stamped out the two coffee cups and colored them in with my Copic markers. I trimmed them out and started putting the rest of the elements together. I loved using the letter stickers to create my own sentiment :)

Something I tried to do to create a focal point was to cluster my embellishments and stamped images in the same general location. That way, your eye naturally looks there!

As I mentioned I used the Coffee Kit:

And the Small Polka Dot Stencil to create this card.

If you're using the coffee kit...or any Create a Smile products...we'd love for you to share on social media and tag us! We love seeing your creations!! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Creme de la Creme

Hi everyone and welcome back to our creative space!
Raluca here with a brand new card showcasing the fabulous new kit from Create a Smile Stamps shop.

I must confess that I'm in love with the new kit. It's jam-packed with awesome products: dies, stamps, ephemeras, letters, enamel accents and all these at a really low cost for a kit. Plus there is a new stencil in the shop and I just had to play with it!

* First I die cut a white panel using one of the rectangle dies from the Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles set.
* Using the new Stencil: Small Polka Dots and a few of my Distress Inks I ink blended a fabulous rainbow background.
* I mounted the panel on a white card base using craft foam.
* Using the Cool Cuts Postage Edge Circles I die cut a white circle and mounted it on the card.

* On a white panel I stamped the adorable cup and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.
* After the coloring was done I fussy cut the image and mounted it on the circle.
* From the Coffee Collection Kit I chose a heart and colored it with the markers and added it next to the cup.
* I've also took the sentiment strip and mounted it on the card, completing my card.
