Vinyl Greetings

Hey stampers, Anni here!

Today I have a rainbow birthday card for you.

A good friend of mine is turning 50 this week and I know that she likes the set Vinyl Greetings. So I decided to use it for a birthday card for her.

  • I started by stamping the records with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it in white.
  • Then I added some colour with Tombow markers. With a water tank brush I took the colour further and blended it with the colour beside.
  • For the sentiment I stacked up some die cut numbers to achieve some dimension.
  • I adhered them to a circle of vellum and added a stripe of pink cardstock with the main sentiment.
  • I adhered all to a black cardbase.

Hello Sweetheart!

Hi everyone and welcome back to our creative space! Raluca here with a brand new card showcasing the adorable "Dress Me Up" stamp set from Create a Smile Stamps store.

I love this stamp set and I wanted to play some with the Dress Me Up set.

* I started my card die cutting a white panel using the largest stitched rectangle.
* I glued a strip of watercolor background and a strip of silver glitter cardstock on one side of the panel.

* Next I die cut the hello word die from holographic silver cardstock and mounted it to the panel.
* I stamped the second part of the sentiment below the hello word.

* I stamped the images, colored them with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut them.
* I glued the dress on the bear and mounted it on the panel.
* I glued a few sequins, adhered the panel to a white card base and my card was done.

Vinyl, Anyone?

Hiiii!! How many of you here own a record player? I don't but I would really love to. They look amazing and beautiful. But, with today's stamp set, you don't need a record player to use ;) Head to the store and check them out.

Now, I will be honest. At first I wasn't sure how I was going to use this but after stamping it on scrap papers to test out the stamps, I came up with this. I know they are supposed to be black but I just can't make my first card using this set without some kind of bright colours first :)

This is so simple to make. I've basically embossed them all on coloured papers and cut them out leaving a thin border. The little sentiments came with the images and it fits perfectly in the center on the image.

I hope you will give this set a try and they are so many more ways to use this which I will definitely share next time.

Hugs and Crokisses

Hi Everyone!

Marika here with another card and video tutorial, today it's all about using alphabet stamps to create your own sentiments.

I fell in love with the big crocus from the Crokisses stampset, and I really loved the play on words for the sentiments, but I felt I wanted to pair the flower with a bigger text. So I chose to use a couple of the alpha sets that Create A Smile has to spell out the sentiment instead. I did change it a little bit as I love sending hugs to people.

And as always I have a video for you on how the card was put together.

You can make any sentiment using alpha stamps, if you have a hard time coming up with your own look at the stamps you already have, maybe you have some sentiments that you wanted in a different font or as in my case bigger. Also I do recommend to stamp up your sentiment first on a separate piece of paper, that will help you to see how big your sentiment will be. I also recommend writing it out so you can follow it letter for letter, I always get a little sad when I realised that I forgotten a letter or two in a word and have to redo everything.

You're a Treasure Card

Hi there!
Samantha back again, and today I'm sharing a pirate themed card full of fun!

I just can't stay away from those cute as can be koalas for long! And when I was looking through my stamps and saw their smiling faces, I knew I had to make a card with them again! Do you have any stamp sets like that?

Let's make this card together!

- first stamp and color the images (I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers)
- once dry, fussy cut and set aside

- on your white cardstock, use Distress Inks to blend a pretty background! I used Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers!
- splatter on some watered down color and plain water
- attach your images - some of mine are popped up with foam tape
- heat emboss the sentiment

This pirate themed stamp set goes PERFECTLY with the Cool Cuts Treasure Chest die! Have you checked that out?

This adorable card was created with the All Hands on Deck stamp set

Did you know there are many many stamps and other products marked down...some up to 50% off? YES!! Head over to the Create a Smile Stamps shop here and check everything out

Cards with Stencils

Hey stampers, Anni here!
Today I have three cards for you that I made using stencils.

Create a Smile has such a big variety of beautiful stencils. I wanted to use a few of them.

  • Card making using stencils is fast. No coloring or fussy cutting involved, so they are easy to make and take no time at all.
  • Chosing the same colour scheme for all three cards makes it even faster.
  • For these bold backgrounds you need bold sentiments as well. Die cut words are perfect for that.
  • Add some sequins for the finishing touch.

Create a Smile has a DT Call going on for the Challenge DT. Join the fun.
