Saturday Scrap Scenes with Terhi | Fun

It's Terhi here sharing a layout with some really heavy mixed media. Or at least it felt like so while creating the piece, even it doesn't show like that anymore - thanks for layering!

The topic of this layout is my dear horse. She is calm and easy to handle but she is still a horse, and horses need to have "horse"-fun once in a while. So I let her run wild on the field, and as you see in the pictures, she really had fun.
Of course I wanted to use "fun" as my title, we have such an amazing chippies in Create A Smile store, that you always find perfect for your project.
And to keep on the fun-line, I decided to make a lot of layers. Both paper and medias.

Please find the video below or watch it here.

Stamps: Crystal Letter Lower
Dies: Stacked Pierced Ovals
Stencil: Waves
Other: Chipboards - Fun, Sending Sunshine Enamel Stickers

If you watch the layout closely, you'll find a lot of details, lot of layers and little pieces of paper. Most of them doesn't have any reason to be there. It just was so much fun to add them there, so don't be afraid to add "too" much things on your creation, sometimes it turns out better than less.

Saturday Scrap Scenes with Terhi | Coffee

Hi Create A Smile fans! It's Terhi here sharing a layout about one of passions. Coffee. I'm not addicted, I don't get headache if I don't get my morning coffee, and I can easily live many days without. But the taste, and the smell of fresh coffee. It is priceless.

In Finland we have two Starbucks. And we got first one only couple years ago, so the way of ordering coffee with your name is still funny. Here the waitresses knows how to spell my name but it wasn't like that in Poland. Even though I said my name a letter by letter, they wrote it wrong and it was quite hilarious.
That funny moment, and the smell of fresh coffee latte was the idea behind. Definitely something to scrapbook.

Right now we have two cool coffee stencils in Create A Smile store, and I used both in this layout. Hmm Coffee Stencil is obvious for coffee themed layout, but Lot of Mugs Stencil was a cute too and it's also used on the background.
The easiest choice would be some stamp from the same theme, but I took some words for This Must Be Love and the words I found are perfect.

Please find the video below or watch it here.

Stamps: This Must Be Love
Cool Cuts (Dies): Stacked Pierced Banners
Stencils: Hmm Coffee Stencil, Lot of Mugs Stencil
Other: Chipboards - Coffee, Sending Sunshine Enamel Stickers

We have a coffee themed stamp set available too, it's called Coffee First and it is fabulous, both for cardmakers and for scrapbookers!

Have a happy weekend!

Saturday Scrap Scenes with Terhi | Flowers Are Forever

It's Terhi here sharing a layout with flowers, flowers and again flowers.

Some time ago I decided to create a bouquet of paper flowers. I wanted to learn how to fold some flowers from paper and created this gorgeous and timeless flower bouquet with no mixed media. Big projects like this, it took the whole day to finish it, are not exactly my thing, so I'm very proud of myself I did this!
And as usual, if something makes me feel good, it must be scrapbooked!

As you might have noticed, I'm not very experienced with coloring stamps. So to make it easier, I made it as a learning experience, I embossed some flowers on the background. So much easier to stay behind the lines when the line is higher than the paper. Next thing to learn is how to create shadows and use other coloring techniques - I'm sure my team mates have made a lot of material to learn with.

Please find the video below or watch it here.

Stamps: Botanical Love, Crystal Letters Upper
Other: Feel Good Sentiments Flairs

Even if you feel like cardmaker and you know your style, try something once in a while. It will make your mind fresh - and if it's not a real success, at least you feel more confident in your own area of crafting.

Saturday Scrap Scenes with Terhi | Darlings

It's Terhi here sharing a layout for the first time this year! So happy 2016 for all, I hope it will be full of arts and crafts.

As the Valentine's Day is behind the door, I'm feeling a little pink and what would be better way to get my mood on the paper than scrapbooking a picture of these two sweethearts.
They are sweethearts and darlings for me, but for each other they're best friends. I always wondered if was a good idea to have to babies in a row, but now that they are this big - I thank myself each day about that!

To get quick and effective effect on your layout (or a card!) use the good old embossing. No one can resist some 3D-effect and shiny details.

Please find the video below or watch it here.

Stamps: Color Your Heart Out
Other: Chipboards - Hearts
Dies: Magical Frames

No matter how close or far your best friend(s) lives, remember to hug him/her and wish happy Valentine's Day. I'm sending my biggest and warmest hug virtually to all of you there!
