one pattern paper - three cards

Hello crafty friends, Nicole here.

This is for all who love to use pretty paper but do not like all the leftovers piling up or if you want to make thee cards at once. :-)

I wanted to try if I could take one (almost) 6x6 paper and make cards without having leftover scraps.

  • Stacked Pierced Ovals
  • Kaffee / Danke Chipboard
  • pattern paper from the Sending Sunshine Kit
  • clear droplets by Pretty Pink Posh
  • lovely tags XS
  • Grüsse XS / sentiments XS
  • Jungle Fever
  • doppeltes Danke / thanks twice
  • mini Danke / mini thanks

Use shape dies to get a frame and an inside part of your pattern paper to make two cards. Stripes of paper can be used as a simple background. Spice it up with a cute critter. :-)

If you use pattern paper with a lot of different colors and you don't own matching inks, papers or pens, try to add neutrals like white, gray or black. They make your cards less busy and help the paper to stand out. These chipboards that look like wood veneer act like neutrals as well.

There's a new monthly challenge going on and we would LOVE to see what you create. Just grab your blue supplies and have fun :-)

Have a lovely day! Thanks for stopping by :-)

More summer fun........

Hi there, you probably expected to see another card with that great new kit but for today I would like to share this card with you. It's another summer fun card which you could easily make with the new kit.

I would love to incorporate several stampsets in my card for today. Something old and something new and create a nice background for my scenery.

I started with a topfolded kraft cardbase and stamped the cute palmtrees tone on tone to create a soft background.
I cut a banner out of white cardstock and stamped the bird once and mirrorstamped it. Colored the birds with copics and stamped the flowers and colored them. Fuzzy cut the flowers and arranged them onto the card.
Adhered the banner onto the cardbase and stamped the sentiments.
Rounded two opposite corners to finish of the card.

Stamps;

Cool cuts (dies);

Some stampsets are limited so if you like what you see make sure to get them before they are gone. The new beach Party Kit is also limited so don't wait to long. Once it's gone it's gone.

It's a Party!

Hi there!
Samantha here with you, and today I'm sharing a birthday card! :)

I can't lie when I say that I am in total LOVE all of the flower stamps that Create a Smile Stamps has out there! But I wanted to play with a little more 'cartoony' images and make a cutesy card!

To start, grab your favorite images and start coloring!
- color and fussy cut your images (I used Copic Markers)
- on your card front, add some watercolor (I used Pumice Stone Distress Ink and some water and I smooshed the watercolor onto the front of my card)

- once the watercolor is dry, add the embossing paste through a stencil
- on a strip of black cardstock, heat emboss the 'happy' portion of the sentiment
- on that same strip of black cardstock, die cut the 'bithday' sentiment
- adhere to the card front and pop up the colored images

I used a BUNCH of different stamp sets here! Ha! The bird is from Jungle Fever. The balloons are from Monster Party and the bow tie is from Big Time. The top hat is from Cool Buddies. The sentiment was created using Mini Birthday and the Birthday Triple Cool Cut.

I really love that the Create a Smile Stamps work so well together! I used little images from a bunch of different sets, and they look so seamless together!

There's a big KIT RELEASE coming up! Be sure to stick around the Blog and Facebook group to catch sneaks, updates and ways to win!

Thanks again for spending part of your day with me!

Thanks For Everything You Do (with Hummingbird!)

Hello, and happy Friday!
Samantha here, and today I'm sharing a sweet little thank you card featuring this adorable hummingbird!!

I really LOVE this stamp set, and I honestly just wanted to color and use that cute cute cute humming bird!! And I don't know about you, but I can always use more thank you type cards! Ha!

Let's make this card, it's easy, and so colorful - two things I love:

- stamp and color the images (I used copic markers to color, but watercoloring or colored pencils would look awesome, too!)

- once colored, fussy cut out the images and arrange on the patterned paper card front
- stamp the sentiment and add black splatters!

To create this card, I used two stamp sets: Jungle Fever and Time to Say Thanks! The super awesome, grey woodgrain paper is from the Sending Sunshine kit

This card was SO fun to create - I just spent some time coloring some wonderful images! I LOVE taking the time to color, it helps me relax, focus and enjoy the moment!

Next week is release week...I'M SO EXCITED!! Stay tuned for lots of information and join our new Create a Smile Friends and Family Facebook page to keep up with new items and share your own projects!!

Thanks again for stopping by!
