Have A Monstrous Day!

Hello Crafters!

It's Kelly here and since we are coming up on Halloween I thought it would be fun to put together a little monster for you :)

I personally struggle with buying stamp sets for specific Holidays. I don't want to spend the money on a set that I'll only use once or twice. Today's card shows how you can use your everyday day sets to create something for a holiday. No extra stamps needed :)

It's another video today. I hope you enjoy!!

 Before heat embossing on a Distress Ink background make sure it's completely dry. You can emboss with distress ink so if it's not 100% dry your powder will stick everywhere!

You have a chance to win some goodies if you link up a project using Create A Smile stamps in the side bar :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Time to Say Thanks

Los, ausflippen............

Hello there; it's Anja again with another card to share with you today.
I hope you all enjoyed our new release and are ready for some more inspiration.

Here is my card for today;

I wanted to use the backgroundstamps in a different way and combine multiple elements on my card.
Also tried to incorporate different techniques in my card.

I started by partial stamping the circles from the hypnotize background stamp in white pigmentink.
Repeated this stamping slightly offset with a darker color ink then my background paper.
Stamped an eye from the monstermassig set in the middle of the cicrcle and tried to point it out with partial stamping of the Arrow background stamp.
Used some chipboard and stamped the monster from Big Time on the chipboard and also on some adhesive cork. Fuzzy cut the cork monster and assembled the card.
The sentiment from Ausflippen is heat embossed in white on some black cardstock. To gain some extra interest I used some torn vellum to place with the sentimentstrip.
Finished the card off with a flair and some twine.
Rounded two opposite corners and my card was ready!!!!!

Try to incorporate different elements in your card and you will be surprised at the result.
Use some vellum strips for some extra interest or to highlight an area.
Tone on tone stamping will be more vibrant when you use white pigmentink and stamp a little offset the second time.
You don't have to use the whole background stamp but try to use only a part.

We love to see what you guys all create with our supplies so please get creative and link you projects at the sidebar !!!!!!!!!

Have a great day and week;

Anja

2015 ??????

Hi everyone, it's Anja here, I hope you all had some great christmasdays and have been spoiled with great food, many presents and hopefully some craft supplies as well.

Now for the project of today I am sorry about the amount of pictures.

The year 2014 has only 2 more days left so I don't know about you, but I always like to look back to the last year. And I can tell you it has been a great year at least in my modest opinion. I still feel very honoured and happy to be joining Christine and her awesome team on her growing journey. It's always such excitement when the new stamps arrive in my mailbox and what about all the other supplies, wow. So to thank Christine for all she does I thought it would be nice to use all the released stampsets in one project and I also squeezed some chipboard and a stencil in it.

I started by using the swirl stencil and distress inkt on a square card. Then I diecut a circle out of some patterned paper just a little smaller then the background card. After some serious measuring I cut out a window in the circle. On the circle I used the Hypnotize background stamp with white embossingpowder. In the middle I adhered a brad so you can turn the circle. Stamped a monster from the Monster Party set, colored it and fussy cut it. Together with some balloons from the same set. I stamped the hearts image from the Balance set in the biggest balloon. Adhered the whole image to the card and to finish it of I placed some enamel dots in the same color as the brad in the middle. In the little window I stamped 2015 and ??????? ,who knows what the coming year will bring!!!!!!!!, using the 29 again stampset.
Now came the fun part, I used from all the released stampsets one image and used it in the little window.
I am sorry this will be an overload of pictures......
