Even Chocolate Won't Fix This Card

Hi there!
Samantha here, and today I am sharing a sweet little 'missing you' kind of card!

I was flipping through my stamp sets, and my eye caught on that sweet sentiment about chocolate (yum!) and I just KNEW I had to make a card with it!

Let's make this card together!

- stamp color the images (I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers)
- once dry, fussy cut and set aside
- I die cut a circle and used the negative part as a mask to ink blend in the circle! (I used Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Inks!)
- then I placed the stencil on top of the masked off circle and ink blended with a darker shade of Oxide Inks to add some texture to the background!
- next, I splattered some water on top

- heat emboss the large sentiment onto a strip of pink cardstock, and trim into a banner

- add some sequins!

I am a big fan of fussy cutting! I do it all the time, buy choice! Ha! But if you're not a fan, you could totally mask off the flowers and then do the ink blending!

This card was SO fun to make! I used the Say What set for the fun speech bubble! The adorable monkey and sentiment is from When You're Not Around! And the background stencil is Focal Point! Oh, and I can't forget the sequins from Pretty Pink Posh!

There is ALWAYS a fun challenge going on in the Create a Smile Stamp Facebook group page! It's fun and filled with prizes! I love seeing all of the incredible, unique and amazing inspiration!

Caught a Bug?

Hi there!
Samantha here with you again, and this time I'm sharing a get well card!

Unfortunately, my husband was 'Mann Sick' this past week, which is different than regular sick...because he's a man (and our last name is Mann), and a total baby! lol!

Let's make this card together!

- stamp and color your images (I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers)
- once the image was dry, I added some sparkles with Stickles to add a little more fun to the rainbow germs!
- fussy cut out and set aside

- on a piece of white cardstock, use white embossing paste and a stencil to create the background

- on the cardbase, stamp the smaller images from the sets in black ink! love those little tissues and pills and band aids! they really add to the get well feel of the card, I think!

I am a huge super fan of white embossing paste over a white cardstock background! But it's sometimes hard to photograph well! One thing I do sometimes, it to take a thin grey marker and trace one edge of the stencil! It's adds a subtle shadow and instantly the background pops!

Most of this card was created using the Message in a Bottle stamp set! But some of the small images on the side of the card are from When You're Not Around set! I also used the Focal Point Stencil

Have you had your eye on the amazing Mandala Cling stamp? Good news!! It's back in stock!! Grab it while you can! :)

Get Well Wishes

Hi there!
Samantha here with you again, and I thought it was the perfect time of the year to make some 'get well' cards!

I feel like everyone I know is sick, and it's awful!!! I definitely need to stock up on my get well cards! And that mouse..guys...SO CUTE! Christine - we need more mice like him, please! Who's with me!? :D

Let's make this card together!

- stamp and color your image! I colored my image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers!
- once it's dry, fussy cut out!

- for the background of my card, I stamped lots of the little images in a soft grey ink! I super Love the soft greys with the bright bold focal image!

- I heat embossed the sentiment onto a banner of black cardstock
- lastly, I used a piece of rainbow paper along the edge of my card and then added the main image with foam tape!

There were parts of that mouse image that were just too small for me to fussy cut (like both ends of the needle!). So I trimmed those off while I was fussy cutting, and then stamped the image in black and popped the colored in image on top! Perfect!

I sued the When You're Not Around stamp set for some of the little images in the background of my card! But most of the card features the Doctor's Helpers stamp set! So cute!

Miss You Alligator Tears

Hi there!
Samantha here today sharing a sweet little 'Miss You' type of card!

Well, I live away from my parents and close friends, so I love having cards to send them, to let them all know how much they are loved and missed! And this little guys with his alligator tears just nailed the feeling sometimes!

Let's make this card together!

- stamp and color your image! I colored my image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers!
- once they're dry, fussy cut out! I also added details to the images with my white gel pen.

- using a piece of typing paper as mask, I did some ink blending with Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick and Mustard Seed Distress Inks!
- then I splattered some ink and water over the background...BECAUSE I CAN'T STOP MYSELF!
LOL
- the alligator was popped up with foam tape, and then I stamped the sentiment!

I wanted to use some cheerful colors for the background ink blending to offset the super sad little alligator, but change it up! Use your favorite color combinations for the background!

Guys, that alligator is SO cute and sad! Poor guy! Ha! Everything on this card is from the When You're Not Around stamp set!

Clean & Simple

Hey all! I wanted to make a clean and simple card today so I've used the cute image to make this card. You can basically do this with any images and any type of sentiment you want.

I've stamped all the images separately on a watercolour paper so that I can stick them on the cardbase using dimensional stickers. This gives a little interest on a simple card.

Pain, go away!

Hi crafty friends and welcome back to our crafty space. Raluca here with a new card showcasing the "When you're not around" stamp set.

I wanted to use the monkey from this set because it's so cute! But I also wanted to send a positive note for a sad friend.

First step was to die cut a light blue panel using the largest stitched rectangle.
Then, I took out the "Decorated wishes - mixed add-on" set and I chose the 'sending smiles' sentiment. I stamped it all over my blue panel using VersaMark ink.
Next, I die cut a smaller stitched rectangle from white cardstock. On the bottom of this panel I stamped a sentiment from the "When you're not around" set using a light blue ink pad.

I mounted the white panel in the center of the blue one using craft foam.
Then, I stamped the monkey and the tissues and colored them with Nuvo markers. I adhered them on my white panel with craft foam. With a few white sequins added, my card was done.

Poor, Sad Little Goat!

Hi there!
Samantha here and today I've got a cute card for someone you love who is either having a bad day, or going through a rough patch!

I know we all have those times when we feel down, and like a black cloud is hanging over our heads! It's good to know we have people to lean on in those times!

Let's get to making!

- stamp and color your critter (I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers)
- fussy cut out
- gather your Distress Inks and blending tool and get ready to get inky!

- using a piece of typing paper, mask off the sky and blend the grass together (Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn)
- switch the mask over the grass this time, and blend out the sky (Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers for the blues and Hickory Smoke and Pumice Stone for the grays)
- splatter the gray area with grey, watered down ink, and white acrylic paint
- stamp the sentiment and pop up the critter!

Are there any one-layer lovers out there? This would be a wonderful card for you do! Just stamp and mask off the goat, and ta-da!

I created this card with that sweet, sad little goat image from the When You're Not Around stamp set!
