Release Countdown 3 - Inspiration by Kelly and Linda

THREEEEE!
As if december wasn't exciting enough, right? Here comes our next count on the countdown:

Today is Kelly's and Linda'sturn. Before we get started I'd like to show you what's waiting for you during the next days:

Wednesday:  Countdown "2" Inspiration by Anja and Samantha
Thursday:     Countdown "1" Give-Away-Time!
Friday:          Countdown "0" IGNITION!!!! Sets will be released at 8am CET (2am EST)

Let's take a look at the inspiration-cards:

I guess you all know by now that Kelly is the queen of stretching stamps. I adore her use of stamps different than what I imagined when I drew them. And this is no exception! Kelly used the new Balance set.
Look at the diagonal she created with hearts! And the ombre coloring (I wonder if this took ages?!). The vellum makes the sentiment pop on that background - this is a true stunner!

Next up is Linda, with such a cutie-patootie card sing Monster Party. What a great mix of patterns and colors! and all those stacked guys crack me up. I guess my face would look the same if I had 5 crabby monsters sitting on top of me - lol :) A perfect belated birthday card for kids, don't you think?

Danke

Hi friends!

Linda here with a simple, cute card for you today, which uses the newly released Perfect Tune set!

I wanted to create a card that was simple, but had some fun details in it. I also love learning and speaking foreign languages, so the 'danke' sentiment was perfect!

I stamped then copic coloured my little radio image, before stamping then outlining the sentiment speech bubble--I thought that outlining it might bring a fun little point of interest on what is otherwise a very simple card! Little details like this can really help a CAS card look more finished.

Finally I took a coordinating ink and created a border using the two teeny circle/bubble images from the same set.

Don't forget those tiny little images that come in stamp sets, you can easily use them to create borders or even full backgrounds with a little patience!

That's it for me today-- it's my eldest daughter's birthday tomorrow, so I have to run! Birthday decorations to put up!

Have a great week and I'll see you again soon!

Linda

We've not shared a video of all the products so far (hope to get this done tonight!) So let's take a look at the new products first.

It's a Retro-Vintage kind of month - we'll have a lot of round shapes, patterns and fun :)

We'll release two stamp sets on Friday:

and 3 Stencils:

We hop you love this release just as much as we do! You can do so many things with the new products, so make sure to check out the Design Team's inspiration!

First up is Linda using the Hypnotize background. - and her card is pretty genius. Who would have thought of a monster when it comes to a circle-background? That girl LOCKS! The different shades of green add even more interest to an eye-catching (hahaha!) card :)

Linda
Next up is Anni using the Perfect Tune Stamp set (along our German Banners chipboard and our Lots of Stars stencil!) I just loooove her retro coloring - mint and brown (and it goes so well with our logo - ha!). What an amazing CAS card!

Anni

Let us know what you think :) We are excited about this critter-free release and hope you join our retro-mood!

We're having a Design Team Call for next year. Click on the banner to find out more!

Have a nice day!

Need Help?

Hi there!

It's Linda here with a card that is really different from my normal style.  We're still collaborating with the wonderful

lucky us!!

I was staring at all the cute images from the set Whimsical Wheels, and I thought it would be fun to incorporate a few into the one card.

For some strange reason, I've always loved those 'choose 1' questionnaire forms that crop up in life, and I thought it might be an idea, to use that as the basis of my card.

I coloured all my images in with copics, fussy cut them out, then assembled the card. I hand-drew the tick or check boxes, and aligned the chipboard from Wyancanka into the top box.

For some extra oomph, I embossed the chipboard arrow with some RED GLITZ embossing powder from WOW. I think it makes ALL the difference! Now the arrow REALLY stands out against the background, but thanks to the red in the firetruck and ambulance, it coordinates with the card too.

What do you like to do to bring some extra oomph to your cards? I always enjoy how embossing powder changes things so much.

Do you have a favourite way of altering items like chipboard? How about Embossing Powder? Love it or not? I definitely love it, except for the mess, no matter how neat I am, it always seems to spread everywhere!

That's it for me today, I'll be back next week with another card using some delicious WOW products.

See you then!

Rainbow starburst

Hiya!

It's Linda here, and today I've got a card that's inspired by a childhood toy/favourite show of mine. Rainbow Bright--remember her?

Here are a couple of images to show you what I mean, in case you've never heard of her.

One of my daughters has a tshirt that's similar to that one on the right (with a different character), and I was inspired to try a starburst sort of pattern for todays card.

We're working with the lovely WOW embossing powders till the end of this month as well :)

I stamped and copic coloured all the stars, added some glitter to the big one (though you can't see it so well in this photo) THEN, for the outline, which I wanted to emboss, I turned my stamp over, and stamped the back side of it in versamark, before heat embossing it with Pastel Yellow WOW Embossing Powder.

Before I heatset the embossing powder, I rubbed off the central part, where the original stamped image was that I'd coloured in. This left a thick border around the outside (which is what I wanted). I love this effect! So fun.

What about you? Are you inspired by any childhood toys to create something? I might have to go back through some old photos to see if I can find any more that give me ideas :).

Well that's it for me! I do hope you'll come back soon, to see more inspiration from the design team!

See you next time!

Release Countdown "4" - Inspiration by Linda and Christine

Hello crafty friends,

it's countdown-time! Only 4 days left until the new products will be available at our store.  Yaaaay!
If you missed out our introduction-inspiration-video - check it out here

Today is Linda's and my  turn. Before we get started I'd like to show you what's waiting for you during the next days:

Tuesday:       Countdown "3" Inspiration by Anja and Kelly
Wednesday:  Countdown "2" Inspiration by Anika and Samantha
Thursday:     Countdown "1" Give-Away-Time!
Friday:          Countdown "0" IGNITION!!!! Sets will be released at 8am CET (2am EST)

All of our projects will also be featuring WOW! products (yes, we love them! and they're a match made in heaven with our products!)

Linda created a fun but also kind of elegant CAS card with our Cool Buddies stamp set. That purple frame makes all the difference - she used WOW Clear Sparkle to get a tone on tone effect and with this design the image and sentiment (using the delightful Persian Indigo powder from WOW) really stand out!
Linda Trace

For my card I used the Smiling Snowflakes set with some patterned papers. I also used lots of glitter and Glossy Accents on them and added WOW Clear Sparkle to some party of the patterned Paper.

Hope you're just as excited about the release as we are! Check back tomorrow for more inspiration!

Countdown 2: Inspiration by Anja and Linda!

Hello friends :)

TWO!!! (Yes, our release is only two days away - I'm feeling kind of nervous already ;) )

Today it's Anja's and Linda's to bring some inspiration for the new sets - and again we're also showcasing Wycinanka products (news about this coming soon!):

You all know I am a sucker for teal and aqua - and Anja rocks it with the monochromatic grey background on her Penguin Party card. Plus: the stripes on the aqua paraglider look wonderful!

See the glossyness? :)

Linda's card is so clever - She turned a chipboard-fence from Wycinanka into rails for the train from Whimsical Wheels. I also love how she started her sentiment on the front od the card and finishes it on the inside.

I think she embossed the rails (you can do ANYTHING with the chipboards!)

If you want to get some of our stamps for free you have two ways to try:
1) Apply for our October Guest Designer spot. You have until sunday!
2) Join our blog hop tomorrow and visit all the fabulous guests on the hop. :)
See you tomorrow!
