quick advent scrapbook layout

Hello everyone, Nicole here.

From time to time I make scrapbook pages and this one is my newest.

I took these pictures some days ago and I liked them so much, I knew they would find a home on a scrapbook page. Because christmas time is a bit busy around here, I only had a few minutes for crafting (this page took about 15 minutes) but these ornament stamps are so pretty and big, they were perfect to make it a quick and easy but festive page.

  1. arrange the photos the way you like it
  2. arrange the ornaments, make sure your layout is well balanced
  3. glue the pictures down
  4. stamp the ornaments (I used mint pigment ink)
  5. take a pen and draw lines to make it look like your ornaments are hanging from the pictures or the top of your page - use a ruler ;-)
  6. choose a word that you want to highlight and use alpha stickers to write it down
  7. take a pen you like and write some personl words (you can skip this step, because the page looks pretty even without them)
  8. I added two stamped sentiments
  9. take small stamps like the snowflakes and the stars to decorate your page and fill some empty spots
You could go on with decorating and writing and so on and so forth... but as I said... I did not have so much time ;-)

Alpha stickers are a quick, colorful and fun way to highlight words. They are a great if you do not have the time for big and beautiful hand lettering. You can perfectly personalize your scrapbook pages with these stickers.

A Tiny Sneak Peek

Hey stampers, Anni here!
Today I want to show you a card I made before Christmas. It has a tiny sneak peek on it! Can you guess what?
You can easily makes this card into a winter birthday card by changing the sentiment.

I wanted to create a Christmas card a little bit more classy and elegant. You know for all the people you can't send those super cute critters.

  • Mask off a circle on your cardstock.
  • Stamp all the little snowflakes you could find in your stash in various colours. Focus on the area around the circle and stamp only a few snowflakes farer away.
  • Add some ink blending to get a more defined circle shape.
  • Stamp the sentiment in the circle and heat emboss it with silver sparkling embossing powder.
  • Add faux stitching around the circle.
  • Stamp and heat emboss the rest of the sentiment in white on a stripe of blue cardstock.
  • Cut stripes of silver and blue cardstock.
  • Assemble the card.
  • Add some stickles for finishing touches.

Snowmen Shaker Card

Hey stampers, Anni here! Long time no see! I had an awesome vacation in France and now I am back to bring you a Christmas card. A Christmas card? Again? Summer isn't over yet, I can hear you say! You're right but Christmas is less than four month away! And who can't say NO to these cute snowmen anyway?

I've told you before I am not a big fan of shaker cards. But I had the idea for this card in my mind for a few weeks so I just had to do it.

  • Stamp, color and fussy cut the snowmen.
  • Die cut two circles from white cardstock (for the cardbase) and one from some acetat.
  • Die cut a circle frame from cardstock and two from dimensional adhesive.
  • Adhere the two dimensional circle frames to one cardstock circle. Fill in some beads and sequins. Add the acetat circle and on top the cardstock circle frame. That's the shaker element.
  • Now you can decorate the shaker element.
  • Stamp a sentiment and assemble the card.

  • For my shaker element I used white and clear sequins. To the mix I added some sequins in pink and turquoise to bring in the colors of my snowmen.
  • It is easy to die cut a circle frame just by using two circle dies. I used this method for the dimensional adhesive, too.

This card fits perfectly the new challenge of the month. The theme is: Circle. That's easy, isn't it? Play along! We can't wait to see your great projects.

Christmas in July

Hey stampers, Anni here.
Today I have a Christmas card for you - in the middle of summer!

I may have already told you that I challenge myself to male two Christmas card per month. And for this card I KNEW I had to use the Cool Buddies finally again because I love this set so much!

  • For the background I used the stencil from the winter kit (unfortunately it is no longer available).
  • I stamped, colored with Copics and fussy cut the fox.
  • I chose some stripes of patterned paper, washi tape and cardstock and stacked them up.
  • For the final touch I adhered some sequins onto the card and a little bit of Stickles on them.

  • You can achieve a totally different look from stencils when you move the stencil while you add the ink. For this background I added a first layer of ink blending before I used the stencil. At the end I splashed some water on the card panel.
  • For Christmas cards I love a little bit of Gold and glitter.
  • The stripes of patterned paper are perfect to use up some snippets.

Yesterday started a new challenge on the Create a Smile blog. The current theme is birthday - an easy one. so play along!

Merry Christmas!

Hey stampers, Anni here!
Today I have another card for you using the Set Made of Snow but this time for a Christmas card.

After last week's card I couldn't stay away from this cute set. As I challenge myself to make two Christmas cards each month I decided to use the cute deer this time.

  • If you add Glossy Accents to your baubles you can easily add a little bit of shimmer by sprinkling a little bit of glitter on it.
  • If you have a small image, place it on a die cut to make it stand out.
  • Making Christmas cards all over the year helps reducing the stress in already busy December.

Cookie-Bag-Tags :-) .......delicous

Hi everyone,
maybe you missed my sunday-video? And also on the next sunday there will be no video. But today you have my compensation for this :-)

The last week I had off and used my free time to bake some christmas-cookies. Maybee you already have seen all my cookies on instagram.
My mom is my big idol. Every year she does a thousands (nearly) of christmas-cookies and give them away for friends, teachers of her water-gym, post-men/women, families and nearly everybody she is meeting in christmas-time. I thinks she does 26 varieties. And during the years I followed her example and now everybody is waiting for my cookie-bags... but I only do 8 varieties.. hihi

And now I thought, all these cookie-bags are a good cause for my new create-a-smile-video :-)

Watch the Video in english

This Video is in German

Try something new... I always colored my snowmen in light-blue. But why not trying doing it violet? Beige? soft-cold-green?

Some of the Stamps-Sets are going to be out of stock with NO restocking. So if you think about buying maybe "floating chevrons" or "smiling snowflakes" you need to do it NOW. And also these stamps are a little bit cheaper now ;-)
