Hello! Masha is here, today I want to show you some funny card.

The idea is very simple, I want some watercolor, and I love the Poppin Over stamp set.

  • For the base, I took a piece of watercolor paper;
  • then i made a watercolor stains with distress inks;
  • using the die of a frame I made cutting;
  • stamp and color the images of the bear with distress inks then cut it out;
  • cut out and color some leaves;
  • cutting frames I placed and glued on the opposite side, then glued the bear and leaves and put a text stamp.

I used super cute the Poppin Over stamp set and Magical Frame die.
I love no line coloring it makes you like an artist))) and I think that this Poppin Over set of stamps is perfect for this!

Guest Designer Mariya Fursevich #1

Hello and happy sunday night, dear crafty friends!

I am happy to introduce a new Guest Designer for this month to you. Her name is Maryia (aka. Masha aka. solus_m) and she's from Belarus! :)

Masha has been a customer for quite a while and when I saw all her wonderful creations on instagram and in our sidebar I knew I had to invite her to be our guest one day. She has a wonderful CAS style and everything is always on point, I just lover her cards! Check out her blog and get inspired!

Masha has a wonderful style and is a super sweet person - I am happy she agreed to be our guest. I know you will love her projects!
Now let's see what she has for you:

Hello! Masha is here, it’s time for summer! Today I want to show you some plastic card.

The idea of plastic  card is not mine, but I love it. When I decided to do one, the idea to use the wonderful  Underwater Love stamp set came instantly.

  • For the base, I took a piece of plastic and put it in the shape of  a card;
  • then toned a piece of white cardstock with distress inks;
  • another piece of cardstock  I inked with yellow distress inks to make it look like the beach, I also added stamps of  a starfish and stones (bubbles turned into stones) and a few water drops;
  • stamp and color the images of narwhal and boat with Copic markers;
  • I folded the rest piece of plastic in a few times for the base for my beach and boat;
  • on the front of the folded plastic, I taped the beach, and a little further as you can see from the photos I taped the boat, on the back of the  postcard I taped the  toned sheet of cardstock.

When working with the plastic you need to remember that it gets dirty from glue easily, but believe me, the result will make you happy and surprised, plastic cards look very volumetric!

I used super cute Underwater Love stamp set and stamp set from the Sending Sunshine Kit

Thank you being with me, I hope you enjoyed the card and I wish you a wonderful day!

Now, let's see what May has up for you:

Hi, crafty friends. Today I have a fun and colorful watercolor card. If you want to see my previous guest project that I made using Copic coloring, please click HERE.

I'm totally in love with the cute critter images from the Doctor's Helpers stamp set and couldn't resist creating a stamped background for my project today. Then I did some watercoloring which is I'm so obsessed with lately.

I'd love for you to watch my video tutorial as I shared lots of tips and tricks in the video. You can watch it here or in HD on YouTube. Hope you find it helpful.

How to Make a Get Well Card using Watercoloring
  1. Stamp the images from Doctor's Helpers with Hero Arts black ink on a piece of Arches cold pressed watercolor paper.
  2. Watercolor the images with Guretake Gansai Tambi 36 color set.
  3. Mount the watercolor panel on a A2 sized top folding card using foam tape.
  4. Stamp the sentiment from the set in black on a piece of kraft cardstock, die cut it with oval die from Stacked Pierced Ovals, pop it up on the card front using dimensional adhesive.

4 Watercoloring tips I learned from my practices
  • You may need to use a smooth side of your watercolor paper to get a good stamping impression. Otherwise stamp the images multiple times on a textured side to get crisp lines of your images. (For mutiple stamping, I used the MISTI stamping tool to get my stamps positioned in a same place.)
  • Watercoloring in two ways: add intense colors first with less water and spread the colors by adding more water. The other way is to color with light color first with lots of water for the base coat. Then add more colors later for shading.
  • Use clean water and paint brush to fix your watercoloring mistake and pick up the colors using some paper towel.
  • Cold Pressed watercolor paper is easier to fix the colors compared to hot pressed watercolor paper.
I'm not telling you these tips would work for all of you as I'm not experienced in watercoloring but just taking baby steps for it. If you have any tips or suggestions on watercoloring, please share with me in the comments below.

That’s all I have for today! I hope you enjoyed seeing my watercolor card and got some inspiration. Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy crafting!
