Secret Ingredient Christmas Wishes

Hi there!
Samantha here, and today I'm sharing an adorable, Christmas card, but it can also be used as a 'thank you' card for something received on Christmas!

Those snowmen chef are so adorable and I just LOVE them making this sweet scene!

Let's make this card together!

- I started by stamping and coloring the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! Once everything was dry, I fussy cut them out!
- I used Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks to create the ink blended background.
- then I used the swirly stencil and the same colors, but with more pressure to create some texture!
- on top of that, I used some white embossing paste and the starry stencil to add even more sparkle and fun!
- then I splattered some water and white acrylic paint onto the background.

- I popped up the images with foam tape, too!

I used the yellows and greens to create the background, but any other color in the background would be beautiful! A soft, pink or soft blue would be sooooo lovely with this scene!

I used the Patterns and Twinkle Stencils for the background! The images are from the Secret Ingredient stamp set

There is ALWAYS a fun challenge going on in the Create a Smile Stamp Facebook group page! It's fun and filled with prizes! I love seeing all of the incredible, unique and amazing inspiration!

Christmas Stress Relieve

Hello crafty friends, it's Kerstin here! Today I have a fun gift tag for you.

I had this idea on my mind for quite a while. As you know things can go crazy around christmas and you might want to cheer someone up. Why not give away some bubble wrap for stress relieve combined with chocolate or a good bottle of wine?

The pocket tag cool cut is perfect for this idea.

  • the santa is colored with alcohol markers
  • I created a background pattern on the tag using a stencil and distress oxide inks
  • and Isprinkled on some white gouache paint too
  • last but not least I adhered the label and the santa with foam tape

[VIDEO] Outside-Pop-Up-Card

Hello to all of you,

this is my last video before Christmas, and I'm one week too late, I had soo much christmas-stress... but now its ready and I hope you will like it.

One evening in bed I had the idea of this kind of card... and I forgot it.. hihi.. but lucky me, two days later it came again into my mind and here it is: my outside-pop-up-card :-)

As usual, first some pictures....

I thought, the most of the pop-up-cards had thier action inside. But I wanted to create a card, standing like a card, but having its action in front of all

Here you can watch the video in English

Hier ist das Video in Deutsch

You think this year is nearly over? But no, we will have another last Release this year ;-) stay tuned for getting some sneak peaks along the next days ;-)

Awesome Fur Real!

Welcome! Candice here with you today!

And, like Nicole, I am sharing a masculine card with you!

I tend to struggle with ideas for masculine cards and I know I am not the only one, right?!  I have found that when I am in need of a masculine card I am usually pulling out Create a Smile stamp sets.  They have this fabulous unique ability to be used for cute and bold styles!

-I first created an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base to fit my tall design on.
-For the background, I trimmed thick black cardstock and using the twinkle stencil, I filled in the stars with a gold pen.  It didn't come out as clean as I hoped, but it gives it the handmade aspect!

-Next, I stamped the lion, rock, and ferns, colored them with copic markers and used my scan n cut to cut them out.
-The new bold alphabet dies, Cherry Uppercase & Cherry Lowercase, are a perfect choice to create a masculine sentiment and I combined it with the black & white happy to make the sentiment stand out as much as the images.
-To finish the card, I stamped the Fur real phrase on the rounded banner and added a few white nuvo drops around the background.

My best advice for masculine cards:
  • Use deeper, richer colors and just a couple tones throughout the card.
  • Using black and white as your base to your color choices will always work.
  • Use a simple and bold design for either your images or sentiment or both as I did.
