Striped Christmas Greetings

Hello crafty friends, it's Kerstin here!

today I have fun and non traditional christmas card for you. Hope you like it!

I love stripes! And I had some left over paper scraps from another projekt on my desk. That's why I had to create a striped christmas card.

  • stamp the sentiment and the christmas balls on vellum and cut them out
  • cut some paper stripes in your desired color and adhere them onto a panel
  • adhere the vellumparts onto the striped panel with mini glue dots (hide them behind bigger lines)
  • draw some little stars and dots around your sentiment with a white gel pen

We love to see your creations. Please use the hashtag #createasmilestamps when you're sharing your projects on instagram.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,
Kerstin

Little helpers....

Hey friends!!

It's Ashlee here today...

How are you all going with your festive season cards? Christmas isn't far away now, one of my favourite times of the year and I have been working on cards and tags ready for gifting!!

I just love how the little helper is holding the adorable little scissors....

I wanted to create a card that was Christmas theme but also had a little crafty cardmaking touch so I thought the image with a bunch of floating envelopes and a card would be a fun starting point for this...

- Start with a piece of cardstock and mask off the bottom portion with a piece of masking tape
- Use the glassware stencil and some Catherine Pooler Twilight ink to create the background
- Swap the mask to the opposite side to blend on the ground
- Stamp/colour and fussy cut all the images from the Little helpers set
- Add images to the card base with foam tape for dimension
- Finish off by adding a sentiment

Play around with stencils and masks to create fun backgrounds, it's always so cool to see the reveal once you remove the stencil/mask!! A background is a great way of adding in a scene for your images....
