(NEW VIDEO) Lets talk about embossing!

Hello everybody :-)

In my newest Video (as always in very bad english and perfekt german Berlin-style) I made three, ok, four cards, and its all about embossing. On Sentiments, on Backgrounds, on Vellum... I gave my best to show a variation of different techniques.

The most of the times I only use white embossing powder, or put some clear-powder over a black stamped sentiment. So mostly only for Sentiments. But today I wanted do use some colored embossing powder again, or not only for sentiments but in the Background. And I wanted to try out a new (for me) technique

Here you can watch my video in English

Next Friday is release again. Make sure you will not miss any sneaks on Instagram, Facebook and here on our blog. Have Fun :-)

Welcome little one......

It's already March can you believe it? Are you ready for some spring weather well I am. So for today I made no not a spring card but it's about new life.

Sometimes you really have no idea to make a card. I often visit YouTube or several blogs and look for inspiration. For this card I came across a card made by Therese and I really liked the idea.

I started with a topfolded white cardbase and two panels of white cardstock. I first stamped the circles on two panels using the misti to make sure that I positioned the circles in the same way.
I stamped the images onto one panel and cut them out. You can use the negative to position your cut out images on the other panel. I adhered them with some foamtape so they stood out.
Stamped the other images and adhered some water droplets to finish of the card.

Stamps;

Eggstraordinary egghunt, sending Sunshine, underwater love and Season's greetings.

Clear water droplets;

We have a new challenge going on so please join in the fun and stay tuned for the new release in a couple of weeks and it's another great one I promiss.

Have a nice week;

Hugs Anja

Summer time........

And here is another card from me today. I hope you all have some great summery weather. Well if not maybe this card will help.

I wanted to use the different "sea monsters" for my card today.

You start with a topfolded white cardbase and diecut a panel out of another piece of white cardstock using the rectangle dies.
In the background you stamp the seashell clingstamp with a light color.
Stamp the different images three times on some copic friendly paper and color them. Fuzzy cut them and place them onto the card. White heat emboss the sentiment onto some black cardstock and adhere it to the card.
To finish of the card the shrimps get some clear wink of stella glitter and the yell fish gets google eyes.

Stamps;

Underwater love and sending Sunshine kit.

Cling stamps;

 Sophisticated shells.

 Cool cuts (dies);

Double Stitched rectangle die;

Please share your creations with us we love to see what you come up with.

Have a great week; Anja

Cannonball Layout!

Hi there!
Samantha here and today I'm sharing a layout!

It's been a hot minute since I've created a layout, and when I came across this photo of my boys jumping in the pool last summer I knew it was time!

So let's make this layout!

- using Distress Inks (Peacock Feathers), I smooshed the ink pad onto a piece of old sticker packaging, spritzed with water and then smooshed THAT plastic packaging onto my white cardstock.
- once it was dry, I stamped the "summer time" phrase in the same ink over the watercolored area

- my title uses the CUTE alphabet stickers in yellow, and I LOVE that it tucks right into that space between the two overlapping chipboard hearts!

- I used some white embossing paste and a stencil to create an abstract-y wave look
- I machine stitched a bunch of the elements, including the chevron enamel shapes! LOVE how this layout came together!

The same watercolor/embossing paste look can be created for cards, too! (Just don't include the photo! Ha!)

I used the Curvy Lines stencil for the faux waves! The mini stamp is from the Sending Sunshine Kit, and the letter stickers and enamel dots are from the Beach Party Kit! I used the chipboard Hearts as an embellishment and I LOVE them!

I am in LOVE with those letter stickers! And did you know that they come in a rainbow of colors?! Who doesn't love rainbows!? Ha!

Sending Sunshine

Hey stampers, Anni here!
Today's card is featuring the Sending Sunshine kit - the very first kit by Create a Smile.

I am so ready for summer, aren't you? I needed a little bit of summer feeling in my life - even if it is just on a card!

  • The banners on this card are perfect for using up your scraps - be honest, we all have them in our stash!

How old?

Hi there for today I would like to focuse on the lovely patterned papers create a smile has.

I needed a masculine card for a friend so I went for the critters and a lot of dies.
Also used some of the great patterned papers Create a smile provides.

I started with a white topfolded card.
I used the largest rectangle die to creat a panel out of the patterned paper from the beach party kit. used the smaller die to make a panel out of the patterned paper from the sending Sunshine kit. I stamped at random the words happy from the happy days set.
With the pocket tag die I created a pocket out of vellum and adhered it all to the cardbase. I diecutted a tag out of embossed cardstock with the lovely tags M die. Stamped the little present from penquin party and with masking I put the little monster in the present. Copic colored and fuzzy cut the image. Placed the image onto the tag and to finish it of I used the alphabet stickers.
Finally white heat embossed the sentiment onto the vellum tag.

Stamps;

Happy Days, Penquin Party, Bad Day and monster Party.

Cool cuts (dies)

Double stitched rectangle, Lovely tags M, Magical frame and Pocket tag.

Patterned papers;

Sending Sunshine and Beach Party.

Alpabet Stickers;

alphabet stickers lime.

It is very easy to combine all those different cool dies on one card. Just play with them.
Due to the sturdy quality of the patterned papers you can easily stamp on them.

We have a new challenge for the month so please join in the fun.

Have a great week;
Hugs Anja
