Birthday Surprise

Hi everyone and welcome back to our creative space!
Raluca here with a brand new card showcasing two older stamp sets from Create a Smile Stamps shop.

The unicorns from the Superpowers stamp set are my favorites and I wanted to create a rainbow in the sky for one. Although I did this card before I got the new Cool Cuts Stitched Circle Frames die set, you could totally use that one for creating this fun rainbow. Hope you'll give it a try!

* First I die cut a white panel using the largest rectangle die from the Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles set.
* Using a cloud stencil and a make up brush I ink blended the clouds on the white panel.
* I die cut the rainbow from different colored cardstock and some clouds from white cardstock and mounted them on the card.

* On a white panel I stamped the adorable unicorn from the Superpowers and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.
* After the coloring was done I fussy cut the image and mounted it on one of the clouds, near the rainbow.
* Under the fun rainbow I stamped a sentiment from the Birthday Sampler using a black ink.
* I mounted the panel on a white card base, glued a few clear sequins and my card aws done.

crafty superpowers

Hello, Nicole here.

I'm here with a clean and (almost) simple card inspiration for you today. Supermouse is bringing some crafty mojo to a fellow crafter...

I love to get more out of my supplies and find stamp sets that mix and match well. So I went through my stash and found out, that the mouse from "Superpowers" (or in German "Superkräfte") goes nicely with the pencil from set "First Day of School" or "Endlich Schulkind". I paired it with a crafty sentiment that says "may the mojo be with you".

For the mouse:
  • stamp the mouse in light grey ink on alcohol marker friendly paper
  • stamp the mouse again but on a piece of sticky note or masking paper and create a mask to temporarily stick on top of the light grey stamped image
  • now, stamp the pencil in light grey ink so that the mouse will hold it and lay on it
  • remove the mask and start coloring
  • I used alcohol markers with colored pencils on top to color my image
  • fussy cut your image
For the background:
  • create a sky by using the cloud stencil and Distress Ink
  • add interest to the card by stamping the starry swoosh
  • stamp the sentiment and add your image with a bit of foam tape

Get more out of your stamps and create new looks by combining stamp sets.

You Make the World Magical Card

Hi there!
Samantha here, and today I am sharing a magical and whimsical little treat!

I just really, really wanted to use those unicorns!! Ha! And when I remembered the sentiment included a unicorn, I knew it was match made in heaven!

Let's make this card together!

- stamp color the images (I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers)
- once dry, fussy cut and set aside
- time to ink blend! (I used Distress Oxide Inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers)
- heat emboss the clouds in white

- using a water brush, add water to the inside of the clouds, let sit for a few seconds and then blot off with a paper towel (I repeated this a few times)
(splatter some water and white acrylic paint
- attach the unicorns and sentiment with foam tape
- add glitter to the unicorn horns!

I usually ink blend with the plain Distress Inks, but I'm not kidding when I saw that the Distress Oxide Inks blend SO easily and SO smoothly! Definitely give it a try if you haven't!

I just love those cute little clouds from the Cloudy Day cling stamp set! The sentiment is from Friends Like You, which just perfect with the unicorns from the Superpowers stamp set!

There is ALWAYS a fun challenge going on in the Create a Smile Stamp Facebook group page! It's fun and filled with prizes! I love seeing all of the incredible, unique and amazing inspiration!

You've got Superpowers!

Hi everyone and welcome back to our creative space!
Raluca here with a brand new card showcasing a few of the super adorable an fun stamp sets from Create a Smile Stamps shop.

I really love encouraging cards and the Don't Worry stamp set it's perfect! So I wanted to use the big sentiment on a card and looked through my stamps stash to find one that would fit with the sentiment. And that one was Superpowers.

* First I die cut a panel from white cardstock using the largest stitched rectangle die and I stamped the "Don't Worry" stamp in the center using a beautiful teal ink.
* Using small stamps from different sets I stamped all over the panel using light purple and yellow ink.

* I prepared a mint card base and I mounted the panel on it using craft foam.

* On a white panel I stamped the images for my card and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers.
* After the coloring was done, I fussy cut the images and mounted them on my card using foam tape.

* To complete my idea, I white embossed a second part for my sentiment on a yellow strip and I mounted it on the card.
* As a final touch I glued a few clear sequins and my card was done.

Super easy and I had so much fun playing with these cuties!
