A little treat ....

Hello there!  Chris here with you today with a colorful card with a brand new Stamp Set from the April Release.

Do you like sweets? I already and so I couldn´t wait to play with this sweeties.

• first I stamped all images on Bristol Smooth paper and coloured with Zig´s Brush Pens
• cut them out and arranged a little scene with the elephant and the mouse.
• for the Background I only made some splatters with different colours of  Distress Oxides inks
• glued down the sweets and critters with 3d Pads stamp a sentiment 
• that´s all :) 

...normally I´ve a "plan" to create a card - but for this one I tried a tip from a crafty friend she always colours the images first "without a plan" - I think it worked to get into the creative mood.

You've Got Mail

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

After a lot of Christmas cards I am happy to share a non christmassy card with you!

I created a big sheet of an alcohol ink background a few weeks ago, that I wanted to use. So I knew I needed a critter with neutral clour to go with the bright background! I decided to make this cute elephant the star of my card.

• When you create an alcohol ink background, use a bigger sheet than you need for your project. This way you have backgrounds for further cards.
• To create this background I used Yupo paper, Copic Cleaner and alcohol inks. I start with a layer of Copic cleaner and add in alcohol inks. In between I use my heatgun to dry the layers.

First day of school

Hi there! Chris here with a new inspiration card, featuring the cute stampset for schoolkids.

Time flies so fast and the summer holidays are over soon - for some at least.  If you have children, the first day of school comes at some point and it is an exciting day for most kids. Therefore, I find a greeting card with the school cone very suitable.

• first I stamped the images and colored with DistressInks
• for the background I blended with Distress OxidesInks 
• after the background dried - I stamped the images (pencils, bruhes ...) with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder,
• I made the "design paper" myself: white paper some red and blue lines - that´s all
• then I cut out the pieces with a "rectangle-die" and stamped the letters with VersafineInk
• all pieces arranged and glued together with some 3d Foam tape

Maybe you try to make your own design paper - a few lines in different colors or circles are often enough.

[VIDEO] Happy First Day At School with Color-Pencils

Hi everybody :-)

The end of summer is on the way, that means, a lot of kids are going back to school or will have their first day at school.
For that day I made this card.. and a video ;-)

Since several years I'm totally in color-pencils. They where lain in the drawer for such a long time, but now I found out (ok, Anni told me..) the right paper and suddenly I'm in love! I can not stop coloring with colorpencils! So I hope this is a goog idea for my newest video... and i hope you'll like it ;-)

That little sugar-cone you can decorate additional. With stars (like I did), or dots, hearts, letters.. what you want!

It is this time of the year when a lot of pupil graduate from school. I made a card saying: Congrats - I know you had it in you.

A friend of me ask me to make a graduation card for her son. The only school related stamp set in my stash (also I am a teacher) is First Day of School - but I think you can make it work for the last day of school, too.

• I started by stamping all the pens in the set a few times and coloured them in shades of green, turquoise and blue. 
• Then I fussy cut the images without leaving a white border. It is more difficult then with a border but when layering the images I like the look better. 
• I took the second biggest rectangle from the die set Double Stitched Rectangles and draw around it on white paper with a pencil.
• I arranged the images in that rectangle, glued them down and die cut the paper.
• All that was left to do was to stamp the sentiment and assemble the card.

The new challenge started today. Christine created a beautiful mood board that will fire up your inspiration.
