Hi everyone...
It's Ashlee here today and I have a card to share with you that I made with the beautiful set pure poppies along with a colourful background using the diagonal grid stencil!!
I wanted to use my distress oxide inks to colour the image instead of copics or markers for something different so the idea started by embossing the poppies with WOW! bright white powder, using the oxide inks with some water and a brush then it all went from there...
- Stencil the background using distress oxide inks in picked raspberry, peacock feathers and wilted violet
- Splatter the background with some black ink mixed with a little water
- Heat emboss the poppies with embossing powder, use some oxide inks to colour the images with a bit of water and a paint brush
- Add the images to the card base with some foam tape for dimension
- Add half of the sentiment stamped directly onto the card base and then heat emboss the other part of the sentiment on black cardstock with the same white embossing powder
- Finish card off with a touch of sequins
- The colouring with ink doesn't have to be perfect, just play around and make it messy.... it ends in a beautiful effect!
