Ahoy Landlubber!

Hello! I'm Candice and am sharing my first post with you today!

I am soo excited to be joining the amazing Design Team here at Create a Smile!  I look forward to sharing my creations with you with these amazing products!

I wanted to try a very subtle color palette for a very soft feel on my card.  How may of you are always wanting to try something new?!

Slim line cards have become a "go to" size for me lately, because I love how I can fit many images in one scene!

To create a slim line card base, you simply trim an 8 1/2 x 11 inches sheet of cardstock and trim to 8 1/2 x 7 inches and score in half for your card base of 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches.  AND you are left with a piece that will fit on the front to create your scene on!
This size fits perfectly into the 9A envelopes that can be found easily online or at your local craft store.

I stamped the adorable sea gulls, fishes, and posts and pirate and flag, colored with light copic markers, and fussy cut out.

To create the sky, I inked with milled lavender and dried marigold oxide inks.
For the ocean waves, I heat embossed the bubbles in white, inked with the tumbled glass oxide ink and die cut using my cameo silhouette.
I stamped the "Hey landlubber!" on a quote bubble for super cuteness!

To finish a card off, I love to add some shine either with sequins or nuvo drops, and for this one I used both!

There is a new challenge that just started on the Create a Smile Family & Friends on Facebook, you have all month to join in on our new color combo challenge for your chance to win!

Thank you!
