Embossed Mandalas
Hi everyone...
It's Ashlee here with you today, have you seen the super awesome new release in the CAS store?! I couldn't resist playing with the new Mesmerizing Mandalas for my latest card...
As soon as I seen the Mandalas I knew they would be absolutely perfect for using with Embossing powder so my idea grew from that...
- Using some teal cardstock I cut a rectangle piece and then inked half way up using some Catherine Pooler ink in the shade Aquatini
- Once the ink was dry I rubbed over the inked piece of card with an anti static powder tool and stamped the mandalas I wanted to use with WOW! embossing ink
- I then heat embossed with Metallic gold sparkle embossing powder
- After the mandalas were all heat set I fussy cut them out
- using the english hello out of the mesmerizing mandalas set I stamped it around the edges of the largest mandala where it fits just perfectly
- Added the mandalas to the card base with some foam tape for dimension
- Finished it off with some sequins
- Always make sure the ink is dry on the cardstock before doing your embossing otherwise your embossing powder will stick all over the place
There is a fabulous Create a smile challenge every fortnight over on the blog with a wonderful prize of a voucher to the CAS store for the lucky winner. There is also lots of inspiration over on the CAS instagram page too from Christine and the DT girls to get you inspired with you creations!!
Happy crafting everyone....
Hugs Ashlee.
