[VIDEO] Zig Coloring Tutorial

Hi everybody :-)

Today I have a different Video for you. Not only showing you how I make a card, this time I try to give you a little tutorial for coloring with zigs.

Since I have my Zigs, wich I love, I used them very quick&easy. Becaus I like that fast watercolor-look.
But in christmas-time I colored a lot of deers and took some time for doing it not so fast a suusal, so I got a much more better result. And this I want so share with you :-)

Here you can watch my Video in ENGLISH. And, as always, please forgive me my very bad grammar. In this Video I talk sooo much, that there is much more bad english than in the other videos ;-) so: sorry!

And here is the Video in GERMAN

If you have struggles with Zigs, belive me, maybe you only have the wrong paper. So don't give up. Just try different paper and than you will love the Zigs :-)

Did you know? Shiping worldwide is only 3,70 Euro... ;-)

Bear-y Big Birthday Wishes!

Hi there!
Samantha here today, and I'm sharing another fun card! This one is a birthday card with BIG wishes! (Literally! Ha!)

I literally was just browsing through my collection of stamps and these two sets were next to each other and I thought, hey, wouldn't it be cute to combine these sets...and yes...yes it would...Ha! :)

Let's make this card together!

- stamp and color your koala bears! (I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers)
- once dry, fussy cut out and set aside
- stamp your big, scripty word and fussy cut. (I heat embossed the 'wishes' phrase to make it extra bold)

- on your card front, ink blend! (I used Distress Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade)

- add foam tape to the entire piece and pop up!
- stamp the rest of the sentiment

I fussy cut everything here...the big word, the critters...but you could totally mask everything and make this an easy one layer card!

I looooooved combining these two sets! I used Card full of Treasures for the koalas, and Make a Wish for the sentiment! SO MUCH FUN!!

Happy New Year

Hey stampers, Anni here!

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and I want to wish you a Happy New Year.

Happy New Year is the meaning of the German sentiments on my two cards. I wanted to send out some Happy New year cards. As a symbol for luck I chose a pig for both cards.

  • Start by stamping, colouring and fussy cutting the pigs.
  • Die cut two rectangles from cream cardstock.
  • Stamp the sentiment on these rectangles with brwon ink.
  • To create a the background stamp 2018 in diagonals all over the cardbase with Versamark ink. Heat emboss with translucent embossing powder.
  • Assemble the card.

Create a Smile is having a Challenge DT Call. You can find all the details on the Create a Smile Facebook page or at the online shop.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! Welcome back to our crafty space.
Raluca here with a new card showcasing the absolutely gorgeous "Hocus Focus" & "Season's Greetings" stamp sets.

Since this is my very first card this year I wanted to wish all of you a Happy New Year! May this new year be the best you have ever had!

Now let's talk about the process of making this card:

- I die cut a white panel using the largest stitched rectangle
- On the panel I stamped the focal stamps using 3 different colors, creating the idea of fireworks. I just love how they look together and they really do look like fireworks, right?
- In the center of the panel I stamped a sentiment from my stash.
- In the middle of the fireworks I added some sequins coordinating the colors of them with the colors of the fireworks.
- I mounted the panel onto a white card base using craft foam and my card was done.

Super easy, super quick and with a beautiful result!

How do you use these focal stamps? Have you thought about creating fireworks with them?

You can also use this design for birthday cards, graduation cards, Independence Day cards by just changing the sentiment and the colors of the fireworks.
And these would be really easy to mass-produce especially if you decide to make them one-layer cards.
