A little treat ....

Hello there!  Chris here with you today with a colorful card with a brand new Stamp Set from the April Release.

Do you like sweets? I already and so I couldn´t wait to play with this sweeties.

  • first I stamped all images on Bristol Smooth paper and coloured with Zig´s Brush Pens
  • cut them out and arranged a little scene with the elephant and the mouse.
  • for the Background I only made some splatters with different colours of  Distress Oxides inks
  • glued down the sweets and critters with 3d Pads stamp a sentiment
  • that´s all :)

...normally I´ve a "plan" to create a card - but for this one I tried a tip from a crafty friend she always colours the images first "without a plan" - I think it worked to get into the creative mood.

Little Scene-card

Hello! Happy Wednesday! Chris here with you today with a little scene card featuring the lion stamp set "Fur real" / "Königlich"

For a long time I wanted to try such a scene card, but I don´t like masking so much and so I decided to do it in a bit different way.

  • first I printed a "frame-template" with my printer on copic-friendly paper (you can make your own squares or you will find a lot of free templates on the Internet
  • stamped the critters on the template without masking (maybe you don´t have to, but for me it was the easiest way to imagine how it will turn out and to know where I had to color the Background)
  • colored the gras with Alcohol-Markers and the heaven I blended with Distress oxides (for this I only  masked up the squares)
  • stamped all images again on Watercolor-Paper and colored them Distress-Inks
  • cut out  the critters and arranged them on the template
  • at the side the critters where came together I did cut them to fit together (like a puzzle) - because I wanted to glue them down very flat
  • cut out some tiny clouds and glued them on the card - stamped the sentiment over the clouds.
  • glued down the template with 3d pads on a card base.

First I made a "Dummy" before I stamped
 on Copic-friendly paper

Birthday Surprise

Hello everyone! Chris here with you today and I hope you had a great start to 2019 - Today, I have a Birthdaycard to share with you, with the brand new Bird-Stamps.

I wanted to create a group/scene card for a while. The sweet little birds are great for that - it takes a litte time but I think it´s worth to give it a try.

  • for a card like this I prefer to create a "Dummy"  before I stamp it for my card
  • (look at "Tipps & Tricks)
  • Things that are in the foreground are first stamped then masked - step by step - for masking you can use Post-it notes or masking paper.
  • This card I colored  the images with Distress Inks and for details used some Colorpencils and a white Pen.
  • cut out 2/3 of the "group"
  • Background: Distress oxides (seedless preserves, spiced marmalade and fossilized amber).
  • used the brand new Word-Dies "birthday", one in black/grey (to create a litte shadow) and one in white
  • glued down the "group" and arranged the sentiment and a little black label - that´s it :)

A small "Dummy" on cheap paper is often helpful, like this one

The super cute Birds "From my nest"  - "Aus meinem Nest" are stamps from the new Januar release  and available on friday 11th.

Thank you so much for stopping by and happy crafty time.

Just for you

Hey everybody! Chris back with you today with some inspiration for a Christmas Card. For this card I "mixed-up" some stampsets.

In the last few days, I saw some mistletoe decorated front doors so I tried to use this inspiration for a Christmas card.

  • it´s very simple to do
  • the front door is a cut file (Silhouette Design Store) and I cut it out with my Plotter
  • stamped all images and colored them with Distress inks and Alkoholmarkers
  • for the gift package with the sentiment I stamped a part over a "Post-it" and then extended it manually
  • for more contrast I glued down a colored Panel which I blended  out with some Ink Pads
  • then arranged all images on the card and glued down with 3D-Pads

For this door I used my Plotter, but I think you can create your own door without a Plotter.
And with some masking-techniques it´s possible to "strech" some images for your need.

Maybe you are looking for a present for a crafty friend (or yourself) - how about a gift voucher from Create a smile Stamps?

Relax

Hello and happy Wednesday everyone! Chris here with today´s post, with a little fun winter card.  Have you  already seen the  new Release stamps?  - this is one of the new ones.

A good friend of mine is always very stressed during the Christmas season. I know it´s a very busy time but I think this year she needs a special "Relax-card" and this cute snowman is supposed to remind her (and maybe me too) in a funny way to relax more.

  • first I stamped the images and colored with Alkoholmakers and cut out
  • I don´t have Alkoholinks so for the Background I took my Alcoholmarkers and paint some lines on Photopaper and dropped some splatters high percentage alcohol (from the pharmacy) on the paper  - and wait what happens (the result is always a surprise)
  • glued the dried Background on a card base
  • did die cut a rectangle window out of a panel  and embossed with an embossing folder
  • glued a acetate piece behind the window - stamped the sentiments with "Staz on" on the acetate
  • filled the window with fake snow
  • glued down the panel with some 3d Foam Tape
  • then arranged all images on the card

If you want to see another shaker card, check out the last post from Raluca - she has created such a delightful card.

The super cute snowmen stamps is from the new Novembre release  and available on friday 16th.

Thank you so much for stopping by and happy crafty time.
