Hello, how are you?

I am sorry I forgot to post my card yesterday so one day late but here is my card for this week's inspiration.

I came across this technique the other day over at the blog from Stephanie Klauck, and loved to try it with the CAS supplies.

I used a topfolded white cardbase.
First I stamped the background and white heat embossed it. I used the stencil and made a Rainbow background. Cut the cardstock to fit my cardbase and adhered it. To make it even more pop I placed two small strips of black cardstock above and beneath my panel.
Diecut the hello word out of white and black cardstock and white heat embossed two feathers onto some vellum and cut them out.
Adhered everything to the cardbase and stamped the sentiment. To finish of the card I placed some enamel stickers.

Stamps;

Just saying hello and Funcky feathers

Cling stamps;

Mandala;

Stencil;

Winter day;

Cool cuts (dies)

Hello twice;

Enamel stickers;

You can use your stencils in different ways just look around and you will find different options to use them. Here I used them to create a nice striped background.
To make your diecut stand out at the background you can create a shadow by diecutting it once more out of some dark colored cardstock here I used black. Adhere your diecut slightly offset from the darker diecut.

We are having some nice challenges going on here and on Facebook so feel free to join in the fun. We love to see what you come up with.

Have a great week;

Hugs Anja

Feel better!

Hi everyone and welcome back to our crafty space.Raluca here with a new card showcasing the adorable "Doctor's Helpers" stamp set.

I had a lot of fun last time when I played with this set and I created a card with the cute hedgehog (you can find that card here), so I decided to create another card with one of the cuties from the set and this time I chose the adorable sick beaver.

* First I stamped the images on some white cardstock, colored them using Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut them.
* Next I die cut a light grey panel with the largest stitched rectangle and glued it to a white card base.
* Then I die cut a pattern paper with one of the "Postage Edge Circles" dies and one from white cardstock. The white one I also die cut it with a hill die and mounted it onto the pattern paper circle.

* I mounted the circle onto the card and the image on the circle.
* I white embossed a sentiment on a red strip of cardstock and mounted it on the circle.
* To finish my card I glued a few clear sequins and I added Wink of Stella on the cute beaver.

Pirate Box Pop-Up Card

Hi Everyone!

Marika here with another video, today it is a box pop-up card!

I've been wanting to create one of these cards, and I was cleaning up on my craft table and found a stencil laying around and the idea came together.

To see how the card came together, watch the video below.

Measurements:
Box: 8 1/2" x 1 1/4 strip Latte Cardstock Score every 2"
Layering Panels: 1 1/8 x 1 7/8" (4 of them)
Box inner pieces 1/4 x 2 1/2" Score at 1/4" on both sides (3 of them)
Fastening tabs: 2x1" Score at 1/2" (2 of them)
The cardbase is a standard A2 one, 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"

Using this technique you can make many different box pop-up cards, maybe using my favorite stamp set with all the monsters!

Stencil: Beach Party Kit
Stamp set: Clear All Hands On Deck

Rainbow Wishes from Afar

Hi there!
Samantha here today, and I have a happy little Hello card for you today!

That big polka dotted background is my favorite, and I just LOVE the cute, little rainbow pop of cololr the greeting brings!

Let's make this card together!

- place the stencil over your cardstock and spray your mist! I used an ooooooold spray mist from Studio Calico called Lunch Tray
- set aside to dry

- once it's dry, ink up your large greeting in a variety of rainbow colors, and stamp! I used Distress Oxide Inks, and then clear heat embossed over it.

- I added the smaller greeting to the card by heat embossing it in black, onto vellum, then adhering
- a few Pretty Pink Posh Sequins finished it off!

The only real dimension this card has is the sequins, which could easily be left off! So it's perfect for sending in the mail, worry-free!

Oh, that background is the incredible new Huge Polka Dots stencil, and I love it!! The stamping is all from the Just Saying stamp set - which I feel like I use all the time! Ha!

The Create a Smile Friends & Family Facebook group has challenges!! Check out all of the rules and themes here! Hope to see you play along! :)
