Let's Celebrate

Hey stampers, Anni here!

I swapped days with Nicole last week because I was on vacation. That's why you are seeing me twice this week.
I have a fall birthday card for you today.

I wanted to make a birthday card for my father and because of the season I wanted to make a fall card. The new set Sei Kein Frosch / Unfrogettable is an autumn set but the frogs didn't seem to fit for a man turning 79. But as I looked closely I realized that the small stamps in the set were perfect for the occassion.

  • Never underestimate the small stamps in the sets - they could clearly be the focal point of your card.
  • I used another tiny stamp from another set - Wrap it Up. I used the cluster of dots to create a background. To make them more subtle I used the second generation stamping: You ink up the stamp, stamp it on a scrap of paper and stamp it a second time on your project (without inking it up again).
  • I used watercolours for this card to colour my image. I find the colouring is easier when I heat emboss the images.

A new release is coming up on November 10th you don't wanna miss.
