Cookie-Bag-Tags :-) .......delicous

Hi everyone,
maybe you missed my sunday-video? And also on the next sunday there will be no video. But today you have my compensation for this :-)

The last week I had off and used my free time to bake some christmas-cookies. Maybee you already have seen all my cookies on instagram.
My mom is my big idol. Every year she does a thousands (nearly) of christmas-cookies and give them away for friends, teachers of her water-gym, post-men/women, families and nearly everybody she is meeting in christmas-time. I thinks she does 26 varieties. And during the years I followed her example and now everybody is waiting for my cookie-bags... but I only do 8 varieties.. hihi

And now I thought, all these cookie-bags are a good cause for my new create-a-smile-video :-)

Watch the Video in english

This Video is in German

Try something new... I always colored my snowmen in light-blue. But why not trying doing it violet? Beige? soft-cold-green?

Time to Snuggle

Hello Crafters!

Is it getting cold where you are yet? We've only had a smidge on snow so far but the temps have been consistently in the 30's for the past few weeks. This weather is only acceptable until after Christmas and then I'm over it :) Today's card was inspired by the cooler temperatures I've got going on here.

I love to snuggle up with a cup of coffee and a good book when it's chilly. This adorable little guy looks like he'd be a pretty good snuggle partner right?

Video time :) It's a pretty sweet and simple one.

Apparently, If you put Wink of Stella on a card you should read the color before applying it. Who knew? Don't be afraid to mix your holiday sets with more traditional sets. It can turn out some pretty cute cards.

Our stencils have been restocked. You don't want to miss these goodies! Also it's the beginning of the month which means a new chance to win by linking up your Create A Smile project in the sidebar.

Thanks for visiting!

Ho,ho,ho........................

Hi there it's me again with another christmascard to show you.

I needed some more cards for my christmascard stash so I went through my stamps and when I saw the wild waters stamp this idea came to me.

I first took a cardbase and stamped the little image from the smiling snowflakes stamp and gold heat embossed it. Sprayed some gold glitter at random on the background. I diecut the frame out of vellum and gold heatembossed the wild waters stamp. Stamped colored and fuzzy cut the little Santa en tucked it behind the diecut. The sentiment was white heat embossed on some black cardstock. To give it some more interest I put some gold thread behind the sentiment , gave Santa some golden glasses and stamped the ho,ho,ho.

Stamps;

Wild waters and Smiling snowflakes.

Cool cuts;

Magical frames and Stacked pierced ovals.

There are still some stampsets in prize reduced and when they are gone they are gone so if you want to have a christmasgift now is your chance.

November Link up winner & Smiling stars

Hello everyone,

thanks for visiting our blog today!
December 6th I hope everyone had a great St Nicolas day :)

You all know we have a link-up tool on our sidebar and picked some featured artists of the month - and this is so much fun - because (even If I don't comment on all the entries due to a lack of time) we LOVE your projects. We had 52 entries last month - That's amazing!

Today we're featuring some of you who played along and also draw one random winner who gets a 15€ gift card to the Create A Smile store.

So, here they are... our Smiling stars - feel free to take this badge to your blog, stars :)

(note: They come in no particular order)
This time we go all blue :)

1)  Masha

Masha knocks my socks off all of the time - this one in no exception. Love how she has three critters (two from our Poppin' Over set, one from our friends from MFT) in a row of windows. Great ayout, gread execution! <3

2)  Alexandra
Alexandra too used the Poppin Over set, but she added some Santa's hats and made the critters looking like Santa's helpers, sitting at the window taking a break and enjoying winter. Beyond cute!

3) Raluca

This is one of my favorite cards this month for sure! Raluca white embossed images from the snow dance kit and only colored some parts in red (oh, by the way, she shared that card before Kristina Werner had shared her video on this technique ;) - she's a true trend-setter!). This card is unique, outstanding and really modern. I love this so so so so much!

This card is CAS perfection. Having just a few elements on the card and knowing where to stop, still having a well-balanced and well-designed card is a wonderful, rare thing. The colors white, red and kraft are balanced out so well - this is
fantastic!

A big thank you for sharing your art, Ladies! I feel so inspired whenever I take a look at our gallery. Thank you so much!

Now it's time for a random winner of our 15€ gift card:

{insert drummroll here}

Merry Christmas with customised background

Hey everyone! Today, I'm sharing another Christmas card but using a more traditional colours. I hope you'll enjoy this post and get some inspiration :)

Today, I wanted to share an idea of using those mini stamps to make your own background.

Firstly, clustering all the mini snowflakes from stamp sets and stamp it all over the paper. This is such a quick thing to do to get a full background and you can customise it the way you want. I think this gives a much personal look to your card.

On a separate red paper, I stamped out the sentiment and cut it while leaving a border. With such a busy background, having this border helps to keep your sentiment from getting lost.

Add some sparkles and you're good to go!

Flying by to say Merry Christmas

Hey stampers, Anni here with another non-traditional Christmas card.

When I heard from Christine that she wouldn't restock the set "Uplifting" I was a little bit sad because I love this set very very much. So I made another card with this cute bird.

  • Stamp, color and fuzzy cut the bird and the santa hat. I used Polychromos and Prismacolors for coloring but you can use every medium you like to.
  • Create the background with a stencil and some different shades of Distress Ink.
  • Die cut a frame for the bird.
  • Assemble the card nd add some sequins!

  • Whenever I color with colored pencils I go over the lines with a black fine tip pen after I finished coloring.
  • You can create the frame by using a scallopped circle and a standard circle.
  • When you use different colors with your stencil and move it inbetween you can create different patterns.
  • Add some extra ink blending to the background to create a softer look.

Some of the cute stamps from Create a Smile won't be restocked! They are on sale right now - go and grab them, it will be your last chance!
