Floral Treasure

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a nice weekend. I thought it'll be nice to have some florals for today's card. Although, I don't say no very often to floral stamps ;) Today, I'm sharing  a little card combing die cut from a different theme to stretch the uses of a die.

Almost every element of this card is made separately. I die-cut the treasure chest and paint them first and set it aside to dry. While that's drying, I stamped out all the florals I wanted to use and paint them in rainbow order.

I wanted to position them as if they floated out of the box to give it a nice flow. The gold sequins are just my favourite embellishment to add some sparkle to the card.

I hope you like this cheerful card :)

A Treasure Full of Wishes

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I hope everyone is having a good start of the year. But if you're not, don't worry, it's only January ;) And I hope my bright colourful card can make you smile and also, give you some ideas.

New year = new batch of Birthday cards to be made so here comes my first one.

I'm using the Treasure Chest die using a watercolour paper so that's it's easier for me to paint. I did this first because it'll make it easier to me to figure out where I want my rainbow to start.

As you can see from the card, it's a really simple card with loads of details.

The rainbow was colour is many stages. I like to colour it lightly first, wait for it to dry and add another layer of colour. I find that this gives some depth to the colour.

Next was those splatters of white dots. It's not a secret, it's just plain white paint :D

And of course, the star of the show has got to be the sequins. They are my inspiration for this card. I want to make it look like the sequins and rainbow are coming out of the treasure box.

Early Halloween!

Hi everyone! Today, there's no theme but just fun! So i hope you'll enjoy the card I have for you today.

Everything is done with watercolour paper. Started of by die-cuting the treasure chest. I love this die! And do stay tune to see what else I come up with using this die.

Follow the dotted and scored lines to fold it.

Next, I just stamped out the cute ghosts and colour them and make it look like they flew out of the chest.

Adding some sequins and stickles to have it stand out :)

Pirate Tag

Hi!

So today I have a new card and tutorial for you, again I work with ink smootching, which is the most fun technique ever, if you haven't tried it yet you really should. I also work with die cutting, and that is die cutting after you smootched, you can die cut before, you do get a little bit more control over it, but I really love letting go and letting the smootching do all the job for me.

Todays card came out of the want of using all the new stamps and dies I just got on one card, I didn't but I did use a whole bunch. I really wanted to use the pirate stamps but still wanted the card to be soft and neutral, working for anyone.

The techniques behind getting this result is quite easy and here is a video on how I did step by step.

My tip today is if things don't work out the way you imagined it, don't throw it away, try figuring out how you can solve it, and maybe the card will come out better than you thought it would.

Let's see what we have for you today ;)

Anja created to amazing cards:

On the first card she designed a fantastic, colorful background using the big hearts Polka stencil, added Lovely Tags in XS and M, stamped sentiments from the Sentiments XS Mini set (onto a Tag from the Lovely Tags X set!) and added clear jellyfish from the Glowing seaside set. Stamping the Jellyfish on Vellum is so so clever and turned out great! That bit of shimmer adds a little extra detail:

On her second card she used masking to stack the barrels für our little Koala-pirate - how cute is this scene?? The Tiny Stars are also Created with the Lovely Tags dies :)

Next up is Marina:

She also used the Big hearts Polka die to create a bright and cheerful watercolor card - this stencil can be used in so many ways!

I have six cards for you today:

On the first one I used the new Clustered Leaves Cling stamp to create a subtile background for my coffee mug. The sentiment in stamped with out Crystal letters stamp set:

On my second card I used the Color your Polka Cling fpr the background, the lighthouse from Glowing seaside as my focal point and the Sentiments XS Mini set for my sentiment, so many details, yet a clean and simple card :)

On of the products I enjoy most is the large Mandala Cling stamp I tried many techniques, colors and layouts and they all look great. this is one example, colored with Dylusions ink sprays used as watercolor:

I am waiting for out gift cards to arrive (probably tomorrow), to show off the pocket tag in use. But I'd like to show you that the accessories from that die set make great focal points on cards as well!

Now for the treasure chest! I thought the treasure chest would be such a great die to go with the All Hands on Deck set - here's one example using both products on one card. I also used the double stitched rectangles to create a frame around my scene:

I already shared my last card - using glowing seaside - on instagram and facebook, but it was so popular that I thought I would share over here as well: I did lots of inkblending to create that glow and used some sunshine alphabet stickers for my custom sentiment - I think this card would be great for the man in your life :)

So, this was a huge pile of card, products, photos...
Hope you enjoy this release - we're kind of freaking out about it, because we put so much effort and thought into it.
This team rocks big time and Create A Smile could not release such fun products without the girls - I love them!

Have a great day and check back tomorrow for more inspiration!
