Sunday Stencils #7

Happy sunday everyone!

It's Sunday Stencils time! I hope you had a fabulous weekend with lots of crafty time. What was your best part of the week-end?

Today is a tragedy! I made a card that I didn't like at all...look at this:

It's dark, it's glittery - but anyway... I'm sharing it with you ;) (Feeling a bit embarassed though ;) )

I really wanted to share the use of Stamp 'N Bond with our Stencils. Bescause it's fun to have glitter in other shapes than just strips, right?

  • Watch the video to see how this card was created:

  • be careful when you heat the Stamp 'N Bond. If you heat it for too long, it will dry and turn into a non-stick surface.
  • Don't overdo it! (haha!
  • I was NOT happy so I made a card that's not completely coveres by the glitter-panel. I love this WAY MORE!

  • White Cardstock
  • Brown Cardstock
  • Versamark ink
  • Stampendous Stamp 'N Bond
  • Silver Embossingpowder
  • Gold Embossingpowder
  • Silver Glitter
  • Gold Glitter

In the video I asked for ideas on new video series. What would you like to see videos about?
  • using patterned paper?
  • interactive cards?
  • coloring techniques?
  • ...
What else can you think of and what are YOU interested in?
We'd really love to know!

Thanks a lot for visiting!

Sunday Stencils #6 - Using Stencils on Cork

Hi everyone and happy sunday!

I hope you're having a great week! The last week was CRAZY because the video hop was such a huge success, items have been sold out (yes, we will re-stock them all as soon as possible!), we got a huge amount of awesome feedback, emails, questions and comments and we're so grateful for everyone who took part in this party!

Let's get to today's card:

When I thought about other ways to use stencils I knew I would love to try them on a different surface than the paper that I use on my cards. Creating a pattern on cork is perfect for christmas - so now that we started the christmas crafting, this is something I'd like to share :)

Watch the video to see how this card was created:

  • self-adhesive cork is a little more sturdy than usual cork sheets. it's therefore easier to cut
  • you can blend two or more pigment inks for more interest
  • if you want to keep your stencil in place easily you can add some spray adhesuve to your stencil

Stamps:

Stencil:

Chipboard:

Cardstock: Simon Says Stamp - Ultra Thick, Bazzill - Vellum
Adhesive Cork Sheet: Keren Foster
Ink: Versafine - Onyx Black Memento - Tuxedo Black, Versamark, Simon Says Stamp - Teal, Audrey Blue

Coloring: Copic
Other: Zig Clear Wink Of Stella

Sunday Stencils #5 and some news :)

Happy sunday everyone!

It's Sunday Stencils time!
(I realized today that I called the videos "Stencil Sunday"instead of Sunday Stencils - stupid me. I need to get more focussed :)

Today I used the Snowmen Stencil-Set and our new German Christmas sentiment Set Schöne Bescherung to create this quick and simple card.
And of course I am happy to use the great WOW Embossing Powders :)

Watch the video to see how the card was created:

Two more things I would like to remind you of:

1) We're currently looking for our December Guest Designer:
2) We added to products to our shop. Check out our brand new Chipboards - they're so beautiful!

Thanks for stoppin' by! :)

Stencil Sunday #4 - Adding Doodles

Happy sunday crafty friends!
Are you having a crafty week-end?

I just finished my new video - it's time for Stencil Sunday!

Before we get started, let me add an important information:

Our shop system has been changed to ENGLISH now!

We hope this makes shopping more comfortable for our international customers. Your feedback is VERY appreciated - please let us know what you think about it. We really want to improve the service to a max! :)
(Subscribe to our Facebook page to be one of the first ones to get updates like that!)

Today's theme is "doodling with stencils". Stencils make doodling very simple and make it so much fun! You can create interesting tone-on-tone backgrounds that really make a difference. Check out the video to see how this card was created:

Check out the awesome chipboad by Wycinanka in their shop!

I'd also like to share another card - same technique, but different color, different stencil, and one example that this background can work without an image:

(hint: this sentiment might be a sneak peek ;) )

Thanks for stoppin' by today. Have a great sunday!

Stencil Sunday #3 - Watercolor and Stencils

Hello crafty friends,

how are you doing? Are you enjoying your week-end? Or are you busy?

I can tell you that this was a busy week for me, releasing the stencils and sending all orders out - phew! I did not expect you'd like the stencils THAT much - hehe :)

Well, I am glad you do, so it's time for another stencil sunday.
Today I'd like to share the idea of using watercolors for a stenciled background. If you use spray adhesive (like I showed in the video last week) and don't apply too much water - this works well! :)

This is the card that I created for today's video:

The chameleon from Jungle Fever and the Swirly stencil are a match made in heaven! (or maybe made on my computer.... which might be heaven for me...uhum)

I used BG99, BG78, BG18 and BG32 and the colorless blender to color that little guy.

I also have another card using this technique (but with Distress Stain) and the Boxes stencil with our Friends in the Woods stamp set:

Hope you enjoyed this and give it a go!

By the way: We're releasing some more product in about twi weeks. Hop to our facebook page and guess what it might be - you may win a bundle of new and exclusive ........... ;)

 Thanks for stopping by!
