It's Kelly here and today I'm sharing a video on how I make pattern paper work for me.
If you are familiar with my projects it's no great secret that I don't use a ton of pattern paper. Usually, I'm happy to create my own patterns and shade them how I want. However, sometimes paper comes along that is so pretty I want to find a way to use it. These are the papers from the Snow Dance kit :)
I often feel that pattern paper can make my card flat and I love the dimension created from coloring. I've made a video for you showing how I use Copic Markers to get some shading on my pattern paper pieces. (Say that three times fast ;)
If you don't have a lot of Copic Markers or can't afford a ton the gray markers are a great investment. You can shade almost anything with them! No copics? Use distress ink and a blending tool to get a similar look :)
Hi there it's Anja again on this monday. I would like to share a wintery card with you since the winter is coming....
I wanted to use the just released stacked pierced ovals and created a shakercard with them.
I diecut all different sizes out of some colored cardstock and traced the large one out of white cardstock and cut it slightly bigger. I placed the negatives from the diecuts on top of each other and put some transparancy behind it.
I adhered the whole panel to a horizontal folded cardbase and used some sequins behind the "shaker". white heat embossed the winter word on some translucent vellum paper and fuzzy cut it. Diecut the word welcome and diecut some snowflakes. Stamped the fox and another one by using the mirror stamping technique and copic colored them. Fuzzy cut the foxes and adhered them to the card.
To finish the card I used some sequins and gave the foxes a little sparkle with a wink of stella clear glitterpen.

My friend and video team member Birka shared an interactive card with me (a pull-card that has hidden panels on both sides of the card) and that totally inspired me to read about more interactive cards.
I knew there were spinner cards out there, but I always thought they were super complicated. So I watched a video to find out it's the easiest of all interactive cards - ever.
It's so easy that I pre-cut some circle panels with my Silhouette and took them to work to create some spinner cards with the kids (I work at a youth centre). The kids LOVED it - boys and girls age 8-16 created fantastic spinner cards using distress ink, stamps and their creativity. It was amazing to see their creations, their ideas and their enthusiasm.
Sorry, I got side-tracked, haha ;)
What I wanted to say: spinner cards are easy - the most difficult part is to make something spin that does make sense in any way. So I thought of a boat sailing the world (which is round, actually) and my idea was born. That my construction would not be as easy to assemble as my previous practice-spinner-cards came to my mind too late - so this video has some trouble-shooting-parts also ;)

Hi there! Today I will be showing you how to create two cards with textured backgrounds. I am using the Poppin' Over stamp set to create these fun cards.
I was inspired to create clean and simple cards with fun ink blending. I haven't done ink blending in a while, so I thought I would try it again today!
I started out with two tall card panels and scored them at every half inch, both vertically and horizontally. The teflon bone folder will give you a great crease and will leave no shiny marks on your card stock.
Then, I did some simple ink blending on both panels with blue and green dye ink.
To color the critters, I used the Dove Blender Pen and some Inktense pencils. I have to be honest, I disliked this blender pen until I learned how to use it correctly. These critters were very simple to color I used one to two colors on each one.
