Easy Color Blending w/ Akashiya Sai Markers

Hello! Nicole here and I am sharing a very bright, fun watercolored look card with you today. And today will be my last day as a Create A Smile DT member. It is sad but is has been so much fun sharing my projects with you all. I hope you guys continue to check back to get more inspiration from amazing design team members!

I wanted to create something bright and bold - and also showcase a product that is going to make this process fairly easy for all of you. Real brush markers have been very popular and some crafters are hesitant to dive in, because of various reasons. I hope my tutorial will give you confidence to give these markers a try!

Bee Paper Watercolor Paper
Vellum Cardstock
Smoke Cardstock
Akashiya Sai Real Brush Markers
Stitched Tag Dies
Sparkling Clear Sequins
Metallic Silver Sequins
Multi Medium Matt
Clear Embossing Powder

- Stretch your markers and colors! Pick up a darker shade color with a lighter shade color to create a blended look. This will allow you to create a mid-tone easily and will create nice blending between the two colors.

- Use watercolor paper. They hold colors and waters really well and give you more time to blend colors together.

- When heat setting the embossing powder, warm up your heat gun for about 20 sec and then bring it to the project. This will help the paper not warp as much!
