Take care

Hi crafty-friends, it´s Chris here and dropping in to share a "Take-Care" with the super cute "Nurse-mouse". I had so much fun to color and play with this stampset.

Especially when someone is sick, he wants an encouraging card. That's why I sent this special nurse for a faster healing.

• stamped the images and colored it ( with Distress Inks)
• cut out a piece of cardstock and score some lines with a score board (you can also use a ruler and a Bone Folder)
• the Background I blended with Distress Oxides (tattered rose)
• arranged the images and glued down with some 3D-foam tape and also used some enmael stickers.
• 
  

For the grid, you can also glue a few narrow strips of paper together and to emboss paper just give it a try and use a ruler and a Bone Folder and your creativity.

Coffee, I Like You

Hi there!
Samantha here, and today i'm sharing a cute little card about coffee!

     

I really, really wanted to use that sentiment! I just think it's perfect for any occasion! 

Alright, let's get down to it!
- on a scrap piece of plastic packaging, smoosh your Distress Ink color choice and spritz lightly with water
- press the plastic onto the white cardstock and let dry
- once dry, add the texture with the embossing paste and stencil and set aside to dry

- heat emboss the sentiment in black onto some vellum, then fussy cut out
- color and fussy cut out the coffee cup image and pop up with foam tape! 

You can switch up the colors on the card and BAM - perfect masculine card! 

I just LOVE that sentiment all snuggled in to the coffee cup! Ha! It's from the Decorated Wishes - Mixed Add On! The cute cup is from the Coffee First stamp set! Perfection! I decorated the background with the Skinny Chevron Stencil and some enamel stickers! 

    

I also used some of the Enamel Stickers that Create a Smile Stamps sells! I LOVE THEM!! They have different shapes and colors in each pack!! I can't get enough of them!!

Going Graphic

Samantha here with you again, and this time I'm sharing a layout I created with a basic shape RAINBOW colors! Ha!

     

I saw this awesome Wall Art on Pinterest, and I just HAD to create something with triangles afterward! And of course...rainbows....!! :D

This layout was actually pretty simple to make, and didn't take that long! The longest part was waiting for it to dry!! Ha!
- using the largest triangle image and a rainbow of stamp pads, stamp onto the background paper. I chose to use Distress Inks and a rainbow pattern!
- once all of your stamping is done, spritz it with water so your colors all run together (Note: this will only work with Distress Ink pads)

- set aside to dry and choose your title. 
- at this point, I also used tissue paper and a black and white diagonal striped streamer to back my photo. 
- once it is all dry, add some color-matching puffy stickers, stitch on your title, and you're done!

- this photo was taken 5 years ago (what?!? BOOOOOOOOO!) at our ice rink, just one of the MANY times those two little Menn went to watch their Daddy play hockey! 

You could EASILY transform this design into a card! Imagine those same colors, with the smaller triangle and big bold sentiment!! and GLITTER! Ha! Circles would be great for this too! :)

I used the super awesome enamel shapes to add some fun to the layout! And, of course, the triangles were created with the Going Graphic stamp set! Love that one! 

    

Did you know that you can get WAY more than just stamps and dies at the Create a Smile Stamps store? Oh yeah! There's paper, washi, flair, sequins and more!!!!

Stack Those Die-Cuts!

Hey everyone! I'm sure many of us have those stackable dies. It might be of a square shaped, or circle, or a banner one like the one in my card. But I rarely use them all at the same time, so I thought why not try and do that now? :D 

The idea behind this card is just to share with you that those stackable dies can be your main focus of the card.

Of course, I started the card with some die-cutting first. I started with the biggest & second biggest die. You can start in any order your prefer. I used some coloured paper I got from the bookstore. You can use, patterned paper or you can even create your own colours. 

When you position the dies like in the image above, you'll get 2 die-cuts; one - a border (shown below) and the other is a solid cut of the banner. You can keep this for your next project :) 

Once I have the die-cuts, all I have to do is assemble them. They fit into each other like puzzles! Simple! :) Add a big bold sentiment like I did to complete the card.

Saturday Scrap Scenes with Terhi - Always

Hi all, it's Terhi here with another Create A Smile scrapbook layout. This time with a pink floral theme and with a perfect photograph of my two beautiful daughters. I'm always looking for new ways to combine different tools or things, this time I used stencil on a stamped image - look closer, on those big flowers.

In our last release I played with 'Time to say Thanks' stamp set, and got excited about coloring stamps in traditional way, just like some cardmakers do. I chose this big flower from Magic Flower stamp set to create the background. Oh boy it was fun! In addition to painting, I used In Circles stencil to create chevron pattern on top of the flowers, with modelling paste.

Sometime choosing a color combo can be tricky. For those moments, my secret is to keep on black and white and then choose one additional other color. As here, I mixed some raspberry pink paint with water and kept that as my main color, from background to final touches and you'll find the same paint on my chipboards.
