Baby Alert

Hello there! Chris here with you today and  sharing my very first blog post on the Create a Smile Blog. I just want to start by saying that I´m really happy to get this chance about being here with all the awesome Members. I´m a huge fan of Create a smile stamps and had the fortune to be a term in the Challenge-DT. Can´t wait to come up with more projects for you all!
For my debut I created this babycard.

Pia, that's the super cute Baby of our neighbors, which was born this summer. For this reason I need a baby card with a lot of pink of course.

  • I stamped and colored the image ( I used Distress Reinkers)
  • The diecut frames, I made by own with a Plotter.
  • Did some blending in the Background (with Distress inks) and stamped with the Cling stamp some dots.
  • arranged the images and glued down with some 3D-foam tape

You may not have a Plotter or suitable dies to hand, but you can also create such frames with a cutter and ruler or a cutting board by your own - it may take a little longer, but it´s worth a try.

Thank you for visiting, hope you like my first post
and I wish you a nice day.

Paperpiecing.......

Hi there it´s Anja again with another card for you.

Have you seen the new challenge over at the facebookgroup? It's all about paperpiecing. So for this card I gave that technique a try.

I used a horizontal cardbase and used a stencil for the background and a dotted clingstamp. Diecut some circles out of green paper and stamped the images onto different patterned papers and assembled the images. Placed it all onto the cardbase and stamped te sentiment.

Stamps;

Unfrogettable. and Dots.

Cool cuts (dies)

Postage edge circles;

This paperpiecing technique works best when you have bigger images with some details.
The easiest way is to stamp your image onto some printerpaper and use this as a background to build up your total image.

We love to see what you create and the ideas you come up with. So please share your projects either here or at facebook. There are several challenges going on. good luck and have fun.

Have  great week;

Anja

Deck the Halls!

Hi crafty friends and welcome back to our crafty space.
Raluca here with a new card showcasing the "With Candles and Glitter" stamp set that you can find in the SALE section.

I just love this elegant Christmas stamp set and I haven't played too much with it. I felt like it was time to get it inked :)

First I prepared a white card base and created an ombre background using the Dots cling stamp ad three shades of blue.
Next I created a white frame using two of the stitched rectangles ad mounted it onto the card base.
Then I stamped the candle and colored it with pencils, fussy cut it and mounted it on the card.
The final step was to stamp and white heat embossed the sentiment on a red strip of cardstock and then adhered it to the card.
And my card was done. Super easy and super quick.

Don't forget that this set is on SALE along with so many more awesome stamp sets. You could expand your Create a Smile Stamps stash and still have some money left in your wallet! ;) Go check it out!

You are unfrogettable........

I hope you liked our last new release as much as we all did and guess what we are on our way to another great new release in November, how time flies.

When I first saw this stampset I knew I had to make a card with it but when I got it I couldn't think of a design so I started with the background and then the card was build up rather quick. I just love these images.

As I mentioned before I started with the background. I used some watercolor paper and stamped the cling stars and scribbles stamp with watermark ink and white heat embossed it.
Smooched some distress ink onto a transparancy sheet and spritzed some water. I placed the heatset cardbase upside down onto the sheet and let the water, paper and ink do it's work.
I dried the paper with my heatgun and gave it another round onto the sheet.
Dried it again and took the dots cling stamp and spritzed water on it and palced it onto the background. In the picture it is hard to see but you get the dots pattern after drying.
I stamped the frog and colored it and cut it. Diecut a circle out of vellum and a strip out of black cardstock after white heatembossing the sentiment.
For some extra interest I used some green colored vellum underneath the sentimentstrip.

wundervolle Weihnachtszeit

Hello everyone, Nicole here.

I have my first christmas card for 2017 for you today.

I was not in the mood for christmas cards, but hey, you got to start someday, right?! So I picked one of the cutest santas I've ever seen and some of my favorite colors and BAM, let the christmas cardmaking begin! :-)

  1. stamp the background on your panel
  2. stamp santa and his presents on a piece of paper, color them and cut them out
  3. arrange santa and his sleigh on your panel to see where your greeting should go
  4. stamp the greeting
  5. adhere santa and the presents with some foam tape
  6. add a bit of shine with a glitter pen

Since I need a lot of christmas cards, I like to keep them clean and simple. I love to use an easy peasy "go to recipie": backgroundstamp, cute critter and a pretty sentiment.

snow dance mini / zum Feste das Beste / dots

There are a lot of fun christmas stamps in the shop! AND some of the stamp sets are on SALE Check it out!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day :-)
