clean and super simple christmas card

It's christmas card making time... and I have some tips for you to save a little time while making them ;-)

I love to make clean and simple cards. It's just a cardmaking style I feel comfortable with. But when it comes to making christmas cards, clean and simple cards aren't just fun to make, they can save you a lot of time.

• do some inkblending in the upper half of your cardbase, start in the middle and work your way out getting lighter with the color
• stamp your landscape stamp in a crisp black ink (I used Versafine Onyx Black)
• stamp, color and fussy cut your snowman (I used Spectrum Noir Markers)
• stamp your greeting (I used Pigment Ink)
• adhere your snowman using some foam tape 
• draw some snowflakes using a white gel pen
• (you can't see it on the pictures but) I added some Glossy Accents on the nose ;-)

• once you figured out a clean and simple layout you like, you can easily make several similar cards without all the color picking, layout planing and so on... This often takes up a lot of my time.
• landscape stamps are a fun and simple way to save time if you have to make a lot of cards
• I stamp a lot of sentiments in black but I really like colored ones too. Pick a color you already used on your image or background to fit your creation perfectly.
• making cards with snow on them is a great way to save some time on coloring 
• another way to spice up your clean and simple card is using a white gel pen to add details (like I did with the snow and on the scarf)

Mom, my Superhero!

Hi everyone and welcome back to our creative space! Raluca here with a brand new card showcasing three awesome stamp sets: Lettering Alphas, Superpowers and Lucent Landscapes.

I know for a fact that moms are superheroes and I loved the fact that using the new Lettering Alphas set I could write the mom word. And this idea for a card came to my mind.

 * I cut a panel from white cardstock and mounted it onto a grey card base slightly bigger than the panel.
* I die cut a smaller panel and ink blended some clouds on it.
* I stamped, colored and cut the super cute mouse from the Superpowers set and mounted it on the panel.
* I stamped the mom word in pink using the Lettering Alphas set and on the bottom of the baroque panel I stamped the landscape from Lucent Landscapes set using a grey ink pad.

* Next I white embossed the rest of the sentiment on a yellow strip of cardstock and mounted it onto the panel.

* Then I mounted the baroque panel on the card using craft foam.

*I glued a few clear droplets and my card was done.

Hallo - How Are You?

Hey you! It's Sunday and it's really cold :( I'm all done with winter and I can't wait for spring. Anyone with me? Anyways, with the dark and cold day, I wanted to change my colour palette for today. I've put aside my rainbow palette and limit them. 

Using the landscape stamp, I've stamp out one of the scenes using versafine black ink. It's waterproof so it's prefect to use it with watercolour. Instead of colouring the whole card, I've only colour it partly as you can see. I thought this would give the card a bit of dimension and I like having some clean white space in a busy card.

Hello From Afar

Hey stampers, Anni here!
Have you had the chance to play with the new release? Today I am showing you a card I made using the set Lucent Landscapes.

I am feeling totally uninspired at the moment. So what do you do when no ideas are coming to your head? I turn to oldies but goodies - so for example rainbows. And that was my starting point for this card.

 

• I started by stamping all three images in the set in black (I used Versafine ink) and heat embossed them in black as well.
• I die cut circles in two different sizes from the landscapes and added ink blending in rainbow order.
• For the frames I used the new dies set Postage Edge Circles. I die cut the smallest and the second to smallest a few times from white cardstock. Then I die cut from these circles again, just a little bit smaller and created the frames.
• For the sentiment I chose one from the set Just Saying Hello and heat embossed it in white on black cardstock.
• Then all there was left to do was to assemble the card.

Have You Seen These Landscapes?

Hey you! It's Sunday and that means I have a brand new card for you today. I'm using the brand new Landscapes stamps! It's a silhouette of a landscape and I think it's so beautiful and I hope it'll inspire you try this stamp out. 

I've basically and simply, started the card by have a smaller piece of kraft cardstock and stamp one of the landscape with gold embossing powder. Because I want to have the little dots continue on further down, I've using the VersaMarker to achieve this look. 

I've used the new Hello die to add the sentiment. I've also die-cut it multiple times so that I can give it a bit of dimension without using dimensional stickers. Add some clear sequins and white dots to finish this look!
