This is the card that I would like to share with you today:

Here is Germany is git pretty cold suring the last week - so for me "cold" was the first word thinking about fall. To make this even more fall-themed I picked some earthtones for my card (although I tend to use bright colors, usually)

 

• Use some stamps from coffee first to create a tone-on-tone background.
• add shadows to the largest images with your Zig Clean Color real Brush pens (or your favorite voloring medium)
• adhere Vellum to the chipboards circle and attach both to your card. 
• use alphabet stickers and more chipboard for your sentiment
• add some more chipboards as embellishments.

 

Christmas Gifts

Hello crafty friends, Yoonsun here! I am back with a newly released Wrap it up stamp set.

 

 

These outlined gift boxes can be various different looks. We can make our own patterned wrapping papers with it. 

 

• Stamp the images from the Wrap it up stamp set onto the watercolour paper panel using black pigment ink - I used VersaFine Pigment Ink Onyx Black. It doesn't reacts with water.
• Colour them with watercolour medium - I used Peerless watercolours.
• Stamp 'Merry Christmas' on the black paper using embossing ink, white heat emboss.
• Mount all elements as shown to the white card base.
• Embellish with a few clear sequins.

Guest Designer Laurel beard #3

Hello lovelies!

Time for another project by our September Guest Designer Laurel Beard :)

Laurel went color crazy today:

She embossed her pattern and used Gansai Tambi watercolors to create this fresh background. The little friends from popping over got a triangular panel to sit on and were colored with copics

Video Tutorial - Watercolored flowers

Hi everyone! This is Francine.

Today, I’m back with a video tutorial featuring the beautiful Magic Flowers stamp set from Create A Smile. Here is my project:

I thought this set was perfect for watercoloring. This is why I decided to make a watercoloring tutorial using Distress inks.

Stamps: Magic Flowers & Bad Day (Create A Smile)
Inks: Versafine (to stamp the sentiment)
Mini Distress ink pads: Tattered Rose & Forest Moss (to stamp the flowers and the leaves); Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, Fired Brick, Aged Mahogany (to color the flowers); Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint & Forest Moss (to color the leaves); Tumbled Glass, Broken China & Weathered Wood (for the background)
Papers: smooth watercolor paper, white cardstock (for the card base)
Various: paint brushes, water, non-sticky craft sheet (Ranger), trimmer, score-tape (to fix the watercolored panel to the card base), masking paper/post-it, etc. 

   

Don’t forget to let each petal dry before you go on or work with an area that is not adjacent to a wet one.

For a transparent look, don’t add too much color. You can still come back and add another layer if you want more saturation.

Work quickly and don’t try to color the image “perfectly”. For the background, allow the colors to run over each other and let some tiny white areas here and there. It gives a beautiful watercolor look!

Hello Crafters! 

It's Kelly here and I'm sharing a tropical card today. 

I wanted to build up a scene using the Cockatoo from Jungle Fever. 

There is a sweet and simple video to show you all about the making :) 

I did outline my sentiment with a bit of white gel pen after the camera was off to help make it stand out. I also added a few dots to the lilies. 

I love being able to combine new and old stamp sets to get a completely different look! If your sentiment is blending in to your background try outlining it with a white gel pen to make it pop. Speaking on sentiments don't forget combining them to create a new one :)

Hi there it's Anja again on this monday with another card for you.
I don't know about you but I really love the coming season with all those different warm autumn colors.

 

 

As I mentioned before I love autumn especially all those awesome colored leaves. So it was Obvious I made this card using the different leaves from different sets.

 

 

I started with a white cardbase and used the magical frame die to emboss in the background.
I cut a panel from watercolorpaper and stamped different leaves shapes in versamark ink and white heat embossed them. Then I turned the stamps upside down on my stampblock and used distress inks and water. I gently stamps the behind of the stamps onto the embossed image.
I adhered the panel onto some patterned paper and some torn vellum and adhered the whole using some foam to the cardbase.
Stamped the sentiment beneath the panel and stamped the thanks onto vellum and heat set it with clear embossingpowder. Fuzzy cut the thanks and glued it onto the panel.

You can also use the dies to emboss just take your regular embossingplates sandwich for your diecut machine and use some embossingmat or just use some extra papers or some foam.
You can use the backside of the stamps to "color" your stamps that will give them some kind of shadow.
