Fruit Salad

Hey stampers, Anni here!

Today I have a card for you with a lot of vitamin C.

I am a big fan of all citrus fruits and I don't know why it took me so long to use the set Fruit Salad. And I love the combination of yellow and turquoise. In my opinion these are the colours of summer.

I started by creating the background. I used Distress Oxide Inks, Bristol Smooth paper, a lot of water and a stencil!! While the background dried I stamped, coloured and fussy cut the fruits.
I die cut a circle from vellum and cut a stripe of black and a stripe of black and white paper to give the lemons a "stage".
For the sentiment I chose one from the set Es ist serviert!/Served Up!. It says something like Sweet Greetings! I thought it would be funny with the lemons.
I stamped it on a tag and tight a little knot from black and white twine.

Party Fever

Hey everyone! I thought we take a tiny break from Chrstmas cards and share a party invite card. Since it's party season, you might just need a little inspiration for your next party invite. Today, I will share with you how I used the entire fruit stamps you can find in the Fruit Salad stamp set.

You can also find Mail Call details at the moment of this post ;)

I've started by colouring stamping all the fruits (multiple times) and colouring them with Prima Watercolour (hehe of course). After that, I just cut them all but leave a little white border around because I personally really like that look :)

I've stuck the fruits down on the card base with dimensional stickers and pile them all up on one side. I've use the alphabet sticker to make the word "Party" and stuck down some enamel stickers for embellishments.

Fruity Salad - Part 1 (Mail Call!)

Hey everyone! Before I start sharing all the christmas cards, I wanted to share a couple of fruity cards for this week and next week. Today, I will start with something that you do with all the fruit stamps you can find in the Fruit Salad stamp set.

You can also find Mail Call details at the moment of this post ;)

I love to keep this idea in my bag everytime. I love to take a stamp and stamp them all over the card to create my custom patterned paper. TIP : Firstly, I've stamped down the sentiment and also used the alphabet stickers. This way, I don't have to worry about finding space for my sentiments :)

Treat Yourself!

Hi crafty friends and welcome back to our crafty space.
Raluca here with a new card showcasing the "Fruit Salad" mini stamp set from Create a Smile Stamps.

Sometimes I feel the need to craft but I don't have a lot of time, so I go with a clean and easy card.

On a white panel I stamped with light grey ink two sentiments all over it. Next I stamped, colored and fussy cut the fruits. I glued a purple strip of cardstock on the panel and mount all the fruits.
I mounted the panel on a white card base, I glued a few clear sequins and my card was done.
Super easy!

lemonade

Hello everyone, Nicole here.
I have a fresh and fun card for you :-)

When I saw the new "fruit salad" stamp set, the lemon/lime reminded me of the circles in the "going graphic" set and I thought they would go very well together.

  1. stamp the circles randomly in a light yellow ink (I used dye ink from Lawn Fawn)
  2. stamp the lemon in a slightly darker shade. As you see, I did not line up the immages, makes this step super easy ;-)
  3. add little circles and tiny hearts stamps to fill the gaps between the lemon slices
  4. use alpha stickers for the sentiment and cover it with glossy accents - let it dry
  5. stamp the rest of the greeting in an even darker ink
  6. add some Crystal Nuvo Drops or enamel stickers for some interest

This layout is super simple and you can make it with a lot of different stamps... Maybe you have some solid and outlined hearts or flowers you could use... That would be fun, right?!

Let's see what we have for you today ;)

Anika  made this super bright, eyecatching card using the miniset On a roll /  Hauptrolle. Her amazing background was made with our Big hearts polka stencil - and I love the way the grey armadillo pops on the colorful background!

Anja  also created a card showing that simple images pop on colorful backgrounds. She used Fuit Salad for der summery creation! Leaving the images uncolored is such a cool way to create a unique design!

Next up is Nicole. For her first creation she combined the cute rolled-up Armadillo from On a roll /  Hauptrolle  with our older set Going graphic. The colorful dots make the perfect background!

For her second card the stamped the pineapple from Fruit Salad and cut out a banner using our Stacked pierced banners cool cuts. Can you see the subtile leaves on her banner-background? They were created using the Clustered Leaves Cling stamp.
Those googly eyes on the pineapple just crack me up! :D

The next card is a mystery to me. I never watched "friends", but Samantha told me she couldn't think about the "Christmas Armadillo" from friends. Can YOU relate? (No doubt I love her card anyway... look at that coloring!)

The follwing card was made by our office-member Timo. He's pretty new to the cardmaking world and I wish I would have created those cards when I was a newbie! Talk about talent...!
He had fun playing with Fruit Salad  and created a fun fruity face on a background stamped with the Color your Polka Cling stamp. (The die is by Penny Black).

I would like to share some cards as well. On my first card I enjoyed coloring the cute frog from Unfrogettable / Sei kein Frosch and gave him a translucent background (oxide inks on vellum) using the Boxes stencil.

For the second card I stamped a background for my focal point using Focus Pocus - Those background really draw attantion to your main image! The reindeer (Snow Dance) also got a new sentiment from the new German sentiment set das Beste zum Feste.

My last card shows another stamp from Hocus Focus and how it draws attention to your focal point. This card is super simple with the mushrooms from Unfrogettable / Sei kein Frosch  and doesn't need anything else. :)

We would loooove if you could leave us some comments to let us know what you think... <3

Have a great day - thanks for being excited with us!
