WATERCOLOUR POPPIES....
Hey everyone...
It's Ashlee here today, I was having fun playing around with some watercolours and I came up with this slimline card featuring the beautiful pure poppies stamp set....
I wanted to experiment with paints and play around with colouring images by layering watercolour on top of a watercoloured background so this was my starting point....
- On a piece of watercolour cardstock stamp the pure poppies with embossing ink and heat emboss with WOW! gold pearl embossing powder- Using some Gambai tambi paints do a watercoloured base all over the images and surround- Once the background is dry and your happy with the result you can start adding layers of colour to the images. I did this using Altenew and Jane Davenport watercolour brush pens- Using some black watercolour add flicks of the paint over the card base- Stamp the MISS YOU sentiment using Memento tuxedo black ink and then add the badly part of the sentiment by embossing it on some black cardstock with WOW! opaque bright white embossing powder- Finish off with a touch of clear sequins
Don't give up when your playing around with the watercolours, keep adding layers and you will be surprised by the end result
Hugs Ashlee.
