A Basket of Flowers

Hi!  Candice with you this beautiful day bringing you some sunshine with this bicycle overflowing with flowers!

I love this bicycle so much with all the accessories that fit into the basket that I wanted to have it overflowing with the flowers.  It works so perfect for the slimline size card!

-I first began with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base that is just the right size for your standard size envelopes.

-For the background, I inked the base of the card with antique linen and a piece of Bristol Smooth trimmed a little smaller that the front in milled lavender, starting darker at the bottom and getting lighter near the top.

-I then inked the circle bubbles with dusty concord, seedless preserves and victorian velvet.

-Next, I stamped the bicycle and many multiples of the flowers, colored them with Zig clean color markers, and fussy cut them out.

-I added them to the card front with foam tape or glue to give the flowers some dimension as they flowed down.

-To finish, I simply stamped the sentiment and added some purple domes and black nuvo drops!

I am still learning to use watercolor markers and I just love the vibrancy I can get from them!  Try different mediums and see how much you will love the results!
