Hi everyone and happy sunday!
I hope you're having a great week! The last week was CRAZY because the video hop was such a huge success, items have been sold out (yes, we will re-stock them all as soon as possible!), we got a huge amount of awesome feedback, emails, questions and comments and we're so grateful for everyone who took part in this party!
Let's get to today's card:
When I thought about other ways to use stencils I knew I would love to try them on a different surface than the paper that I use on my cards. Creating a pattern on cork is perfect for christmas - so now that we started the christmas crafting, this is something I'd like to share :)
Watch the video to see how this card was created:
- self-adhesive cork is a little more sturdy than usual cork sheets. it's therefore easier to cut
- you can blend two or more pigment inks for more interest
- if you want to keep your stencil in place easily you can add some spray adhesuve to your stencil
Stamps:
Stencil:
Chipboard:
Cardstock: Simon Says Stamp - Ultra Thick, Bazzill - Vellum
Adhesive Cork Sheet: Keren Foster
Ink: Versafine - Onyx Black Memento - Tuxedo Black, Versamark, Simon Says Stamp - Teal, Audrey Blue
Embossing Powder: Hero Arts - white
Coloring: Copic
Other: Zig Clear Wink Of Stella
All the updates about re-stocked products can be found on our Facebook Page :)
This is fabulous work Christine! I love how the cork adds a lot of dimension and those snowflakes are so cute! :)
ReplyDeleteI made a card for ABNH Christmas event and the layout was so similar to this one! :D
Dear Christine, thank you very much for sharing the video with us. Where did you buy the dimensional adhesive? Unfortunately, I didn't understand well.
ReplyDeleteThis is what I use: http://www.voelkner.de/products/160619/3M-Doppelseitiges-Klebeband-12mmx3Ws-9515w.html :)
