A Christmas Parade

Hello Crafters!

It's Kelly here and today we are tackling another scene card.

I had the idea to create a Christmas parade in the city and I just couldn't shake the idea. Every time I sat down to create something it kept coming back. Sometimes you just have to do it :)

I made a video to share with you guys. It is a bit on the long side but there is a ton of stuff going on in this card.

I'm pretty happy with the way it  came out. What about you? :) Here's a close up so you can see the lights.

Make sure your distress ink is dry before heat embossing your snowflakes. Distress ink stays wet for quite awhile so it will ick up any embossing powder you pour over it unless it's completely dry.

Whimsical Wheels is being retired along with a few other sets. If you're in love with it now is the time to grab it. It won't be back again. All the sets being retired are here and they are all 25% off :)

Thanks for dropping by!

  2. Oh Kelly, this turned out so beautifully! I had no idea you could use Copics over Distrss Inks so I learned a lot there. I think you are so create and brave to create a scene from nothing like you do! I love that you paid homage to the parade, and of course th firemen and police. The whole thing is amazing. I could watch you for hours. Thanks for sharing. I wish that set wasn't retiring, does that mean you can't use it anymore? Seems a shame.

    Hugs,
