Challenge of the Month launch Blog Hop!

Hello cafty friends!

If you're part of the Create A Smile Friends & Family facebook group (everyone is welcome!) or if you recently received an order you already know about this:

We're starting a monthly challenge! Woohoooo!

It's called "Challenge of the month" and we're having a month-long theme for you to take our your Create A Smile products and play along.

To celebrate the challenge-launch we're hosting a fun Blog Hop today:

We're giving away a 25€- gift card for one lucky hopper. Hop along the blog and leave us a comment telling us hoe many different Create A Smile stamp sets you found along the hop.  Also let us know which of those sets is your favorite and why.

You'll be aentered in the drawing if you leave your comment by Saturday night, we'll pick one random winner für the 25€ gift card on Sunday.
There are 11 designers playing along in our very first challenge, who have a LOT to inspire you. So, let's take a look at the first challenge that they played in and that is open for your as well:

Our first theme is favorite. You'll find the rules to play along at the bottom of this post.
But here are the links to our 11 designers:

and here's the card I I would like to share with you:

I thought that "favorite" opens up so many possibilities that I wanted to covor up a few of them for my interpretation:

1) Favorite Techniques:
At this point I am in love with inkblending, so I had to use that. But I also love using stencils on my background, so I also used a stencil over my inkblended panel.
2) Favorite color combo:
Everything turquoise/ teal catches my eye, with pops of orange and yellow.... well, I can't resist. ;)
3) Favorite theme
I love the seaside, the sea, everything underwater. And summer.
That's why I cheated a bit. I pulled out a new set that has not been released yet (calles glowing seaside) and used the new little jellyfish and a sentiment. By the way - the large polka hearts stencil is also part of the June release ;)

Now it's time for YOU to play along in that challenge.

Challenge-Rules:

  • This challenge is open to everyone, everywhere
  • create a new paper crafting project (card, layout, gift wrapping...) matching the theme
  • leave a short note on your post how you incorporated the theme to your project
  • Use at least one Create A Smile Stamp or Die as your Focal Point.
  • Post your project to your blo or online gallery including a link to the current challenge
  • Please display the challenge banner.
  • Link up your project to our Linky - please directly link to your challenge-post, NOT to your entire blog.
  • Add as many projects as you'd like, but make sure they all hit the guidelines.
  • You have until the end of the month to enter
  • One lucky winner will receive a 15€ gift card.
  • Have fun!

  16. What a fun blog hop! I think there were 12 stamp sets, plus a stencil; however, I kind of lost track counting because I was too busy looking at all of the beautiful cards!! I don't know if I can pick a favorite, but I do love both the Botanical Love and Jungle Fever sets.

  23. I think there were 12 different sets along the blog hop. So much stunning inspiration! What a talented bunch of crafters! I think of the sets used in the hop Underwater Love is my favorite. Cute critters and the possibility of so many awesome ocean backgrounds. I think that will make the new jellyfish a winner too!

  24. I commented before I realised I had to come back to tell how many sets used, I think it was 13 including your new one and my all time favourite is the Botanical Love.

  25. Ok... there were lots of stamp-sets!
    Coffee first (2 times)
Krosüsse / Crokisses (the german and the english one - do they count as one or as two sets?)
This must be love (2 times)
    Ausflippen
    Friends & Couples
    Mini Happy Birthday
    Underwaterlove ( 2 times)
    Happy Days
    Jungle Fever
    Aloha Spirit
Es ist Serviert / Served Up!
    Glowing seaside
and maybe a new german sentiment-set with the "Stimmungsaufheller" (havn't seen this stamp before...)

    So I count in minimum 12 stamp-sets.
13 when you count the double-language-set as two OR when there is also a new set with the german sentiment.
14 when you have both points from before.

  26. What an amazing blog hop!!! Love every card!!! You girls are so creative and inspire daily. <3
I counted 14 stamp sets on the hop, including one that's not jet released. My favorite stamp set used on this hop is "Botanical Love". :o)
And for the end: Yeiiiii for the new challenge and for the opportunity to win gift certificates!!! :o)

  27. Ok, done with the hop, it was fun, a lot of inspiration, thank you!
I counted 11 stamp sets plus your little cheat = 12, my favorite would be Served Up!, but what if I would like Glowing Seaside more? Because the jellyfish looks soooo cool:-)
    Have a nice weekend everybody:-)

  28. Assuming that you're not counting English/German versions of the sets separately, then there were 12 sets used in total. Out of those, botanical love is certainly my most used set, but picking a favourite is so hard... I think I'd have to pick underwater love, if only for that adorable little boat :-)

  29. Funny how there are so many different counts - mine is 13. Glad you finally have a challenge - now that is an incentive to play!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Oops, forgot to answer my favorite set - its the one with the parrot - I just love birds!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I have counted 12. Coffee first is one of my favorites as I cannot start a day without coffee :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. I counted 14 in total! I love the jungle fever stamp set because its so special but yet so versatile!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I counted 12 stamp sets oder 13 if a stamp set in german and english (Kroküsse / Crokisses) counts twice. I saw theses stamp sets: Glowing seaside, Coffee first, Kroküsse / Crokisses, This must be love, Ausflippen, Botanical Love, Underwaterlove, Happy Days, Jungle fever, Aloha Spirit, Served up, Mini Thanks

From these stampsets I own "This must be love" and "Underwaterlove". My favorite is "Underwaterlove" because the critters are so sweet and you can also do cards for boys with them. They are fantastic to color and you can easily do a background for a sea-scene!!
