Monster selfie...........

Hello folks, here is Anja again on the create a smile monday. I hope you are doing well and are ready for a new week full of inspiration..

Let's get right to the project for today.

I wanted to use all those lovely monster images we have already over at create a smile. And since taking selfies is very populair at the moment I wanted to create a monster selfie.....
I also wanted to make a bit of an interactive card so you had to guess what's inside.

The card is made by using two cardbases that are glued together. To create the window you can take any shape you want either by cutting it or use a die. I used a heartshaped die. measure the middle of the card and diecut your heart. Measure the middle of this heart and make a fold. Repeat this process for the other card and glue them together thus forming a heart.
I used nesting heart dies so I diecut a second heart frame from some patterned paper and placed it on the front.
I used the say it stencil to create a nice background. heat embossed some sentiments and fuzzy cut them.
Now for the fun part, the inside of the card. I diecut a frame from some patterned paper and stamped and masked several monster from different stampsets. Colored them with copics and placed the frame in the middle of the card. Before I did this I used the skinny chevron stencil to give the background some more interest. I also stamped several sentiments second generation, so ink them and first stamp on some scrap of paper and then on my card.
Finished the card with some enamel dots and held it together with a paperclip.

Stamps;

Stencils;

Patterned paper;

You can use different shaped to create a window on your card and build something of interest on the inside.
It's important with these cards that you score your folds and make them really flat by using a bone folder for instant.
Try making a scenery with different images. You can first build up your scenery by layering your stamps since they are clear it's very easy. Before stamping decide which figure you want in the front so you know which one you have to mask.

You probably know by now that you can link all your projects the entire month at the link up in the side bar.
NEW is the CAS(-e) the DT challenge we have for you. You can find all the details HERE.

Have a nice week and much fun and we hope to see your projects!!!!!!!!!!
