A little treat ....

Hello there!  Chris here with you today with a colorful card with a brand new Stamp Set from the April Release.

Do you like sweets? I already and so I couldn´t wait to play with this sweeties.

  • first I stamped all images on Bristol Smooth paper and coloured with Zig´s Brush Pens
  • cut them out and arranged a little scene with the elephant and the mouse.
  • for the Background I only made some splatters with different colours of  Distress Oxides inks
  • glued down the sweets and critters with 3d Pads stamp a sentiment
  • that´s all :)

...normally I´ve a "plan" to create a card - but for this one I tried a tip from a crafty friend she always colours the images first "without a plan" - I think it worked to get into the creative mood.

(NEW VIDEO) Lets talk about embossing!

Hello everybody :-)

In my newest Video (as always in very bad english and perfekt german Berlin-style) I made three, ok, four cards, and its all about embossing. On Sentiments, on Backgrounds, on Vellum... I gave my best to show a variation of different techniques.

The most of the times I only use white embossing powder, or put some clear-powder over a black stamped sentiment. So mostly only for Sentiments. But today I wanted do use some colored embossing powder again, or not only for sentiments but in the Background. And I wanted to try out a new (for me) technique

Here you can watch my video in English

Hier kannst du das Video in Deutsch sehen

Next Friday is release again. Make sure you will not miss any sneaks on Instagram, Facebook and here on our blog. Have Fun :-)

Spectacular birthday

Spectacular birthday

Hi everyone...

It's Ashlee here today, Hope you are all well and getting in lots of crafty time....

I have a fun card to share with you today using a CAS stencil to create an awesome background with embossing powder!!

I basically first started with the idea that I wanted to use a CAS Stencil with some embossing powder and then it all came together from there

- First blend some distress oxide inks to create an ombre look
- Place stencil over the card base and use some embossing ink to fill in the stencil
- Remove stencil and cover in an embossing powder of choice (I used Fools gold WOW embossing glitter for this one) then heat set with heat gun
- Using some opaque white paint mixed with water splatter over the base
- Stamp sentiments onto black cardstock strips using embossing ink and heat set with WOW opaque white regular powder
- Using foam tape attach the sentiments to the card base
- Finish off with a touch of sequins

You can put your embossing ink pad directly to the stencil to transfer the ink but you will get a much better coverage using an ink blending tool

There is a fun group on Facebook called "Create a smile friends & family" where you can share all your ideas/creations with the CAS family!!

Happy crafting everyone....
Hugs Ashlee.
