You Are a Treasure!

Hi there!
Samantha here, and today I'm sharing a fun, ocean scene card with the cutest critter ever!!

I am so in love with this cute stamp set! Those koalas are just so CUTE!! I knew I wanted to create a watercolor ocean scene, so it was the perfect compliment!

Let's make this card together!

- I started by stamping and coloring the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! Once everything was dry, I fussy cut them out!
- I used my watercolors to create the awesome, fun wave background! I used lots of different blues and aquas!
- then I splattered some white acrylic paint over it all!

- then I heat embossed the waves on some vellum, and fussy cut it out!

- the image and sentiment banner were popped up with foam tape!

I could have just heat embossed the ocean waves directly on top of the watercolored scene, but I decided to use the vellum on top, for extra dimension!

I used the beautiful cling Ocean Waves stamp for the vellum!! And of course, the cute, fun and super creative All Hands on Deck stamp set with that adorable koala!

There is ALWAYS a fun challenge going on in the Create a Smile Stamp Facebook group page! It's fun and filled with prizes! I love seeing all of the incredible, unique and amazing inspiration!

You Rock!

Hello crafty friends, it's Kerstin here! Today I have a male card for you.

Every once in a while I need a card for a male recipient. A retro design without any critters is perfect for this occasion.

  • the Vinyl record is heat embossed with black embossing powder and the middle part is colored with alcohol markers
  • for the background I grabbed some of my favorite colors, cut small stripes of paper and glued them onto the card base
  • I adhered the stamped Image with some foam tape
  • finished the carddesign with a few notes and the sentiment from the Radio Rock stampset

We always love to see your creations: use #createasmilestamps when you're posting on Instagram!

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,
Kerstin

Yum, Cookie-scent!

Hello!  I hope you all are having a fabulous day!  It's Candice with you, hoping to inspire you with these sweet bakers!

Truth be told, I got this Secret Ingredients stamp set for Christmas and wanted to create with it before winter is over!  Don't you just love diving into a new stamp set?!

  • I first create the card base measuring 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 and die cut a stitched frame.
  • For the background, I first heat embossed the stars in white with the twinkle stencil, and then inked lightly with antique linen & tattered rose.

  • Next, I stamped the snowmen & ingredients and created the table from the Triangle Banners stamp set, colored them with copic markers and used my scan 'n cut to cut out.
  • To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment in versafine black ink, adding wink of stella and white accents to a few of the images, and some yellow nuvo drops.

To create my slimline stitched frame, I first trimmed a long piece of cardstock and ran the die through, stopping before it cut the bottom.  I lined it up in the stitches already made and repeated on the opposite side.  For the width, I lined it up in the stitches and ran it through again, stopping before it cut the bottom.  I then repeated it on the opposite side, creating my slimline stitched die!

Don't forget about the bi-weekly challenge that you can enter using your Create a Smile stamps for your chance to win!

Thank you for stopping by!
