Hello, Poppies!

Hi there!
Samantha here, and today I am sharing a sweet, little hello!

Guys, those flowers are just so beautiful! I love the shapes and sizes! Just perfection! And I totally want to use them on a scrapbook page, too...so maybe I can make that happen one day! Ha!

Let's make this card together!

- stamp color the flower images (I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers)
- once dry, fussy cut and set aside
- using Distress Inks, ink blend in one of the corners! (I used Mowed Lawn, Black Soot and Twisted Citron)
- splatter on some water and white acrylic paint

- heat emboss the large sentiment on vellum and fussy cut out

- heat emboss the smaller sentiment in white, onto a strip of black cardstock
- add some sequins!

I am a big fan of fussy cutting! I do it all the time, buy choice! Ha! But if you're not a fan, you could totally mask off the flowers and then do the ink blending!

I used the beautiful sentiment from Just Saying Hello! And the gorgeous, stunning flowers are from Pure Poppies!

There is ALWAYS a fun challenge going on in the Create a Smile Stamp Facebook group page! It's fun and filled with prizes! I love seeing all of the incredible, unique and amazing inspiration!

Tweet! Tweet!

Hi everyone and welcome back to our creative space!
Raluca here with a brand new card showcasing one of the new and super adorable stamp sets from Create a Smile Stamps shop.

The moment that I saw these cute birds I just couldn't wait to color them and create a card with an adorable bird family.

* First I die cut a panel from white cardstock using one of the scalloped rectangle dies and ink blended some clouds using a very light shade of blue.
* I prepared a pink card base and I mounted the panel on it using craft foam.

* On a white panel I stamped the images for my scene and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.
* After the coloring was done, I fussy cut the images and mounted it on my card, creating an adorable sky scene.
* To add more interest to my card I die cut and adhered a few clouds under the birds, giving them support.
* I stamped the sentiment, glued a few clear sequins and my card was done.

Super easy and I had so much fun playing with these cuties!

bear mail in the snow

Hi there, is it snowing where you live?

We did have a bit of snow and loved it but now it's all gone.

I have a crafty friend that has a lot of snow around her house at the moment and her postman is often a little late. That inspired me to make this card for her.

  • use two stencils and two different grey Distress Inks to create your background
  • take a piece of white paper and tear it to get that snowy ground, glue it to the background
  • stamp, color and fussy cut the bear on his bike
  • die cut the word happy and its shadow from white and pink card stock and glue them togeter
  • stamp the little hello to some grey cardstock and cover it with white embossing powder. Heat set this and cut it to size.
  • add the bear and the sentiment to your background and you're done :-)

Layering Stencils can create totally new looks.

Using only one color combined with neutrals like white and gray makes that color the star of your project.

I did not have a matching pink card stock, so I colored some paper with the alcohol markers I used to color in my bike.

The JANUARY RELEASE is online! Check out all ne new goodies! ;-)

And if you're up for a challenge, hop over to the blog and play along!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a happy day,
Nicole

Don't Worry!

Hello crafty friends, it's Kerstin here!

Today I have a clean and simple card for you without any coloring.

I wanted to try out the stamped background technique Birka used in her latest video and that's what I came up with.

  • stamp the large sentiment with at least two different shades of your favorite color to create a little ombré effect
  • stamp the sentiment on some sticky note paper and cut it out
  • mask off your sentiment and start stamping around your sentiment
  • the more you stamp at the edge of your mask the better the result will be
  • finish your card with some colored sprinkles

For this ombré effects it´s best to use distress oxide or other pigment inks. And a stamping tool will also help a lot.
