April Release - Stencils Part 3

Hiiii!!! Last week, I've used the same stencil with a white background with the stencil coloured in black. So, I thought this week, I'd switch it around.

Today, I'm using the Blossom Stencil! Here over to the store if you want to get it!

Firstly, make sure you swipe the card base with anti-static powder before doing a whole card base of embossing. Especially with black cardstock, it's really important to do it so that you can get a crisp outcome.

I've also used washi tape to hold down the stencil. This really prevents it from moving around while you smoosh down the versa mark ink! :)

Last week, I've used pink as the pop of colour so I thought that yellow would go very well with the black and that Create A Smile has the perfect alphabet stick colour to match the sequins I have.

Going Graphic with Rainbows

Hi there!
Samantha here, and today I am sharing a happy and bright card with you!

Honestly, I am in love with those shapes! Triangles are my total jam, and I love creating backgrounds with them!

Let's make this card together!

- pick your ink pad colors! I used *so many* Distress Oxide Inks for my card! I love the image they leave  behind, and they're still reactive with water! Win!
- I used all four different sizes of the triangles to create my card. I stamped them in random order, but wanted to make sure that a rainbow theme came off with the colors

- once the solid images were all stamped, I went over some of them with the outline images with Versafine Black Ink! love the pops of black!

- the large scripty word was heat embossed in black onto vellum, and then fussy cut out
- I heat  embossed the rest of the phrase onto a strip of black cardstock and then popped it up with foam tape!

This card could easily be a one layer card if you're into that sort of thing! (ha!)

I am super in love with triangles! And the different sizes on the Going Graphic stamp set are just perfection! I paired the fun geometric background with the Friends Like You stamp set

Next week the May release with debut and it's soooooo amazing!! Be sure to check it out here and in the Facebook group

Baby Cards

Hey stampers, Anni here!

Today I have two baby cards for you!

The set Sweets & Treats is actually a Christmas sets but there are a lot of images you can use all year round. Especially the bear is much too cute to use him just on Christmas cards. So I thought of occassions to make a card with the bear and I thought it's the perfect image for a boby card.

I started by creating the background. I die cut two rectangles from white cardstock and added some ink blending. Then I used the same inks and stamped some clouds. I also stamped clouds with white pigment ink - I love this subtle effect. To finish the background I spritz some water on it to get these bleeched effects.

While the backgrounds dried I stamped, coloured with Copics and fussy cut the bears.

All that was left to do then was to stamp the sentiment and assemble the card. For a finishing touch I added some stars to the pink card and some Nuvo drops to the turquoise one.

We have two challenges to play along: One on the blog (see on the sidebar) and one in our Facebook group. Can't wait to see your creations.

Mom, my Superhero!

Hi everyone and welcome back to our creative space! Raluca here with a brand new card showcasing three awesome stamp sets: Lettering Alphas, Superpowers and Lucent Landscapes.

I know for a fact that moms are superheroes and I loved the fact that using the new Lettering Alphas set I could write the mom word. And this idea for a card came to my mind.

 * I cut a panel from white cardstock and mounted it onto a grey card base slightly bigger than the panel.
* I die cut a smaller panel and ink blended some clouds on it.
* I stamped, colored and cut the super cute mouse from the Superpowers set and mounted it on the panel.
* I stamped the mom word in pink using the Lettering Alphas set and on the bottom of the baroque panel I stamped the landscape from Lucent Landscapes set using a grey ink pad.

* Next I white embossed the rest of the sentiment on a yellow strip of cardstock and mounted it onto the panel.
* Then I mounted the baroque panel on the card using craft foam.
*I glued a few clear droplets and my card was done.
