Paperpiecing.......

Hi there it´s Anja again with another card for you.

Have you seen the new challenge over at the facebookgroup? It's all about paperpiecing. So for this card I gave that technique a try.

I used a horizontal cardbase and used a stencil for the background and a dotted clingstamp. Diecut some circles out of green paper and stamped the images onto different patterned papers and assembled the images. Placed it all onto the cardbase and stamped te sentiment.

Stamps;

Unfrogettable. and Dots.

Cool cuts (dies)

Postage edge circles;

This paperpiecing technique works best when you have bigger images with some details.
The easiest way is to stamp your image onto some printerpaper and use this as a background to build up your total image.

We love to see what you create and the ideas you come up with. So please share your projects either here or at facebook. There are several challenges going on. good luck and have fun.

Have  great week;

Nuvo shimmer powders....

Hi there today another technique card from my hand. I love all those shimmery cards you see nowadays everywhere on the internet. So I had to give it a try myself.

I recently ordered some nuvo shimmer powders and had to try them with all those lovely flower stamps.

I started with a diecut panel of watercolor paper and stamped the flowers and masked them to create a bouquet. Heat embossed them with white embossingpowder and tapped only a little amount of the powder onto the cardbase. Spritzed the card with water and then the magic starts. Used some leftover of colored cardstock for the sentiment and adhered the panel onto a topfolded cardbase.

Stamps:

Fun Flowers , Time to say thanks and Friends like you

Cool cuts (dies):

Double stitched rectangles:

You get really such nice glimmery cards it's hard to see in the picture but the cards really shine.

I hope you got inspired and maybe you'll try it yourself. Stay tuned because only a couple of days and there will be another new release!!!!!!!!

Have a great week, enjoy,

Hugs Anja

You are wonderful (string art) ...........

Hello, it's Anja again with another card and a technique for you.

The last couple of days I came across this technique "String Art" on several places at the internet. And ofcourse I had to give it a try. It is really very nice and you will get great a great outcome. So I created a card with it.

First I rinsed some twine in a refill of an inkpad but you can use maybe alcohol inks or any other kind of ink.

I used two pieces of cardstock and layered them in an old phonebook or you can use a journal of some kind. Between those layers of cardstock I rolled up the twine.

Next you close the book and press it down with one hand with the other hand you pull the twine out of the paper layer.

And watch here the lovely result you got.

I cut one paper down to a cardsize and sponged a background with a stencil.
Cut out the word you four times and layered it and sponged the bottom with some ink.
White heat embossed the sentiment on a black strip of paper and adhered it to a topfolded white cardbase. To finish of the card I placed some waterdroplets.

Spotlight stamping...

Hi there it's Anja again with another technique for your cards.

I wanted to give the spotlight stamping technique a try. You can use this technique in several ways here I used the diecutting and only coloring the diecutted pieces.
And since there is another challenge going on with flowers I thought I use those lovely flowers.

I started with the diecutting of a white panel using the stitched stacked rectangle dies. And stamped and masked several flowers and leaves.
Then I diecut three different circles out of the panel and started coloring only these circles.
I took a black cardbase and diecut another white panel and adhered it to the cardbase.
For some extra interest I used a piece of patterned paper just slighty bigger then the flowerpanel. Combined everything together and placed a small strip with the white heat embossed sentiment onto the card. Diecut 4 times the word YOU out of black cardstock and adhered it. SOme iridescent waterdroplets and some glitter onto the YOU word finished the card.

Stamps;

Fun Flowers and All about you.

Cool cuts (dies)

Double stitched rectangles and You twice.

We love to see what you create and be inspired by you so please join your work.

Have a great week;

Text background......

Hi there it's Anja again with another card for you today.

I was eager to do some emboss resist background and some ink smooching so this was the idea.

I started with a panel from some watercolor paper and stamped different sentiments at random with watermark ink. White heat embossed them and then smooches some ink until I was satisfied with the outcome. I diecut the panel and adhered it onto a green cardbase. For some extra interest i adhered the inner panel with some foam tape. White heat embossed some sentiments onto a strip of balck paper and diecut the YOU word 5 times to give it some dimension. Finished the card of with some sequins.

Stamps;

All about you.

Cool cuts (dies);

Double stitched rectangles and  You twice.

If your paper has wrinkled after to much smooching you can run it through your cuttingmachine with some printerpaper several times and it will be flattened again.
Try to build your own background by using several sentiments at random.

We love to see your ideas with all the lovely supplies and make sure you join in the fun with our challenges.
Have a great week;

Ghost stamping....

Hi there I hope you are thrilled by the new release from last Friday and maybe ordered some of the goodies already. Here is some more inspiration for you.

I wanted to try the ghost stamping technique with alcohol inks and archival ink. And the new stamps are perfect for this technique don't you think so?

I went with a horizontal cardbase and diecut a panel out of yupo paper specially for alcolhol inks. Used three colors of alcohol ink to spread over my paper and a paintbrush and a straw to let the alcohol ink run over the paper. Once I was satisfied I let the paper dry and stamped the image using archival ink and immediately wiped the ink of with a cloth. Stamped the little fairy and colored it with copics and cut it. Stamped the sentiment on some black cardstock and white heat embossed it.
finished the card of with some glitter drops from nuvo.

Stamps;

Superpower and swooshes.

Cool cuts (dies);

Double stitched rectangles.

Make sure you visit the shop and the blog for much more inspiration and please join in the fun in our challenges you might get your hands on some of the great supplies.

Have a great week;

Welcome little one......

It's already March can you believe it? Are you ready for some spring weather well I am. So for today I made no not a spring card but it's about new life.

Sometimes you really have no idea to make a card. I often visit YouTube or several blogs and look for inspiration. For this card I came across a card made by Therese and I really liked the idea.

I started with a topfolded white cardbase and two panels of white cardstock. I first stamped the circles on two panels using the misti to make sure that I positioned the circles in the same way.
I stamped the images onto one panel and cut them out. You can use the negative to position your cut out images on the other panel. I adhered them with some foamtape so they stood out.
Stamped the other images and adhered some water droplets to finish of the card.

Stamps;

Eggstraordinary egghunt, sending Sunshine, underwater love and Season's greetings.

Clear water droplets;

We have a new challenge going on so please join in the fun and stay tuned for the new release in a couple of weeks and it's another great one I promiss.

Have a nice week;

Hugs Anja

Hello, how are you?

I am sorry I forgot to post my card yesterday so one day late but here is my card for this week's inspiration.

I came across this technique the other day over at the blog from Stephanie Klauck, and loved to try it with the CAS supplies.

I used a topfolded white cardbase.
First I stamped the background and white heat embossed it. I used the stencil and made a Rainbow background. Cut the cardstock to fit my cardbase and adhered it. To make it even more pop I placed two small strips of black cardstock above and beneath my panel.
Diecut the hello word out of white and black cardstock and white heat embossed two feathers onto some vellum and cut them out.
Adhered everything to the cardbase and stamped the sentiment. To finish of the card I placed some enamel stickers.

Stamps;

Just saying hello and Funcky feathers

Cling stamps;

Mandala;

Stencil;

Winter day;

Cool cuts (dies)

Hello twice;

Enamel stickers;

You can use your stencils in different ways just look around and you will find different options to use them. Here I used them to create a nice striped background.
To make your diecut stand out at the background you can create a shadow by diecutting it once more out of some dark colored cardstock here I used black. Adhere your diecut slightly offset from the darker diecut.

We are having some nice challenges going on here and on Facebook so feel free to join in the fun. We love to see what you come up with.

Have a great week;

Hugs Anja
