Now it's time to share another great card by Guest Designer Vanessa Amann with you :)

Hello everybody, it´s me again!

Last time I showed you a little snowmen card. And I made another one for this week. I´m really in love with these cute little guys, so I could´t resist to use them.

My inspiration for this card was the sentiment „warm fuzzies“. I found it really funny to use this sentiment with a group of snowman. So I decided to create this campfire scene.

The first part of my little card is easy. I did some partial die cutting for the shaker window and to create my background I used the Blending Tool and Distress Inks.
My little snowmen at the left side were a bit difficult to create, but not impossible. I stamped him, but only the outside. I masked off the buttons and his face. With an alcohol marker resisting pen I drew in his face and the buttons of his belly, but mirrored. I drew the campfire by hand and all images were colored with some alcohol markers and afterwards fuzzy cut out. I wanted my sentiment to stand out from the white background, so I decided to stamp it on some black Cardstock. I didn´t want the sentiment stacked, so I used my VersaMark pen to stamp the words in line. With the pen I could easily ink up only the part I wanted, and not the whole image.

Don´t be to shy to use your stamps in other ways. If you need them to be different, so try it. It doesn't matter if you cut them, or mask them of. But try it!

I hope you had a lot of fun with my snowmen. I promise the next time there will be no snowmen anymore. I guess you had enough.

See you next Wednesday,

Vanessa

  1. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Sweden but I'm thinking of sending my best friends some Thank you cards next week. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to make the cards and send them this week. It is a nice tradition Thanksgiving, we should celebrate it!

  5. Living in NY smiles are pretty hard to come by. I try to smile at as many strangers as I can, as it brightens my day to receive one so I hope it does for others too.

  9. My oldest girl like to color things and especially when we do it together. So I bought some new stabilo pens last weekend and colored with her today. She had a ruff day so that made her happy! Otherwise I like to send my cards to my friends randomly just to make them happy.

  10. I would take my best friend for a nice dinner and good movie. He is always very patient and always supportive with my hobby. I would do it because he works really hard everyday and even if I need to to wake up in the middle of the night and just say all the non sense things , he would listen. And I have to make a new birthday card, as he loves collecting handmade cards from me.

  29. I love to brighten people's days.... sometimes I send something in the mail, a card or a gift, and sometimes, if it's a stranger, I will smile at people in stores, greet them cheerfully (people are surprised when you say hello! It's amazing)... or sometimes I will pay for lunch unexpectedly, etc.

  30. So excited for these dies and the coffee stencil. One of the best parts of being a teacher is being able to brighten the day of kids with simple things like picking them first, writing a happy note to their parents, or just giving them a shout out in front of the class.

  33. Of course I love to brighten someone's day with a card! I've been known to buy a stamp set with one person in mind to send them that just perfect card. Of course, that sometimes means I'll never really use that stamp set again. But to know that I've touched someone's heart because I made something JUST for them is worth it. I've enjoyed the countdown creations -- beautiful!

    1. Ich spreche in Echt wirklich ein "funny Englisch", liebe Christine, deshalb kommentiere ich dir lieber in Deutsch. Wer weiß, was sonst raus käme...

  40. To brighten someones day I write something to their art they place on their blogs or into crafty groups. Being a blogger myself I know how much it means to each of us to hear about peoples thoughts on our creativity.
Vanessa, your card is adorable, but I really really fear, that those snowmen won´t last for much longer if they continue doing what they do!!! ... and another thought... they could actually put marshmallows on their finger tips, hihi.
    Happy regards from stempelfrida
